2011 NFC East Champions!

I don't understand what goes through some of your minds when you're submitting these rankings. How are there 7 teams out there better than the 5-1 Steelers? How did 2 of you not even vote the Ravens into the top 10? How did one of you put the 2-5 Chargers in the top 10? The Titans the 2nd best team overall?

WOW.

How did 2 of you not even vote the Ravens into the top 10?

I pulled up my PT this week, expecting to see that I had ranked Baltimore in the middle of the top-10 somewhere...it's where I've ranked them the past few weeks. Instead, I saw that I was one of those damned fools who didn't have Baltimore ranked. It was nothing against the Ravens, I just spaced that team out when doing my PT this week. Had I remembered, they would have come in at #6, and would have bumped Miami off the 10 slot at the bottom of my rankings.

My bad...

I did have the highest ranking for your Giants though...and the highest ranking for the Chiefs.

Here's how I ranked them this week:

1)  Pittsburgh Steelers
2)  New England Patriots
3)  New York Jets
4)  Indianapolis Colts
5)  New York Giants
6)  Kansas City Chiefs
7)   Tennessee Titans
8 )  Houston Texans
9)   Atlanta Falcons
10)  Miami Dolphins

^ I can live with that to some extent. It's splitting hairs with some of that bottom 5 (I think ATL is better than a #9 rank).

The worst one is that someone voted in San Diego - 2-5 San Diego - to the top 10. WOW.

I voted in San Diego.  I refuse to justify my choice to you, who will undoubtedly lack understanding and reply with endless ridicule.  I feel at peace with the pick though.

WOW.

As you obviously have strong feelings on who should be in the top ten, why don't you post your list....

I can't say that I would argue with this reasoning. I would most definitely ridicule you endlessly for such a preposterous choice.

I have the same 10 teams on my list, just ordered a little differently.  This is the first time this has happened to me this year.  I think the list is good.

Also, I had Atlanta at 9.  (Lower than the low vote says.)

For the first time this week I wasn't compiling this list while rolling my eyes into the back of my head thinking "what...are...these guys...thinking?"  Previous weeks have contained some very interesting choices, to say the least.

It's taken half the season but I feel as though the true top ten teams in the NFL are finally taking shape.  This week is a very strong list.

I am stunned that someone out there ranked NYJ as #8 but ranked NE in (at least) the top 4.
