Knowing Randy Moss, he would probably tell teams "don't bother selecting me, I won't play for you" if they wanted to put in a waiver claim. If they were stubborn, Randy would give 10% while collecting 100% of his salary.

This reason alone is why I think Miami has a shot. In all honesty, I am not sold on this team being a contender NOR am I sold on it being an 8-8 nobody. We DEFEATED the Steelers. Our record should be 5-2, just like the Jets and Ravens. Yes, we have problems but we are a young squad. If we get Randy Moss and he actually tries, this is a very good team.

Of course, that is a lot of ifs and Randy can very likely suck ass for the Titans from here on out.

^^^ what makes you think Miami wouldn't be on the list of teams he would not say, "don't bother selecting me, I won't play for you"??

Not convinced he'd be good for the development of our young players...

And he also doesn't do anything about our secondary, which is pretty horrible.

In an uncapped season, even if he does say that, just keep him inactive or suspend him for "conduct detrimental to the team" just so the rivals can't have him.

There is this thing called the player's union.  You can't just suspend people for made up things.

He is Randy Moss.  If he doesn't want to be in Miami, then he will do something that warrants suspending him.

At the least, the team had to put a waiver claim in to make sure he didn't end up with the Jets or Pats.  No matter what kind of malcontent he may be, the dude is a great wideout.  He's faster than most corners, taller than any of them, to boot.  The Dolphins can't let him fall into the laps of a team that's better than they are.  For that reason alone, they should pick him up.  Throw in the bonus fact that despite only "decent" numbers this year, the guy is still a great wide out, and sure to be in full "I'll show you" mode, and you might have something great with him and Brandon Marshall.

sure to be in full "I'll show you" mode,

If he believes that the only reason the Dolphins signed him was to block him from going to NE and he wanted to go to NE and NE puts in a claim for him, you won't like his "I'll show you" mode.

So what happens then?  He sits.  And he doesn't play against the Dolphins.  And doesn't cause Clemon and Bell to have nightmares Saturday night before the game.  Besides, he's a free-agent next year.  He needs to play nice wherever he ends up.  He has enough baggage already.  Pissing off 3 teams in one year seems like a lot, even for him, to overcome.  I think he'll be out to prove he's still elite.  How better to do so on a team with already one great-to-elite WR to worry about?  I don't mean just Miami, either.  Moss-Andre Johnson?  Moss-Reggie Wayne?  Moss-Roddy White?  Moss-(eventually) Vincent Jackson?  He'll see more single coverage than he's ever seen due to the other guy, and he'll be out to prove something.

I just hope it's here in Miami...

I really did not think Moss would make it past the Rams and the fact that he did and is not now a part of the Dolphins is kind of upsetting. Yeah he is an ass but he is a great player who could have helped this offense that does nothing but kick FG's.

Just my 2 cents!!!!
