2011 NFC East Champions!

« on: November 02, 2010, 12:23:29 pm »

Can anyone explain this?

You acquire Donovan McNabb from your division foe in May.
You bench Donovan McNabb in the 4th quarter because he apparently is fat and out of shape.
You bring in Rex fucking Grossman who fumbles his first snap away for 6 points the other way.
You have John fucking Beck as your 3rd string QB

...

Then, you call in Jamarcus fucking Russell (yes, him) for a workout on Tuesday.

I just don't get it. If anyone in the NFL is not in cardiovascular shape, it's Jamarcus "McDonalds" Russell.

His agent claims Russell has been working out... ;-)

It'd be fun to see what Beck could do...

Rome reported he came in today at 286. The only thing he has been working out is the refrigerator door.

What the agent failed to mention was Joey Chestnut was his personal trainer during these workouts.

I agree.  What a bad move by Shanahan.  Even if Grossman does give you the longshot chance to win the game (which he doesn't), you'll essentially throwing away your season.  I can see pulling an established starter for a 1 play hail-mary or something, if he's got a stronger arm, but this was just stupid and will cause a ton of locker room problems.

I'd take McNabb on the 49ers in a heartbeat, and give Washington Troy Smith and a 4th or 5th round pick to boot. Shanny can then play musical chairs with Troy Smith and Rex the Wonder Dog, and my 49ers will get to experience having a "real" QB for the first time since Jeff Garcia left the Bay area.

To pile on to the Redskins woes, they also worked out J.P. Losman.

Can you name a pair of two worse NFL QB's than Russel and Losman? I doubt it.

I've seen Cleo Lemon make a 4th quarter / OT comeback and game-winning toss. Never seen Losman or Russell do that.

I hope he keeps shitting on McNabb. Maybe this time the Cards will remove their collective heads from their asses and bring him here. He wanted to play here in the first place.

It's been reported that McNabb is seriously dogging it in practice.

I would too, if my boss told me I'm not good enough to do my job, and brought in a bunch of complete bums to replace me.  Motivation goes thru the floor.

This was before the benching and bringing in of bums, of course...
