I didn't see this thread when I started the other one. You all can eat crow now! I was proven CORRECT!! As i said I was for the past month. Jason Allen stinks, everyone who knows anything abotu football saw it except for a few people here. The guy was burned game in and game out. Take away Farve giving him 2 gifts and he hadn't made a postive play all year

I don't think it's fair that you paint Sparano as a know-nothing, and then use his decision-making as proof that you are correct about Allen.

I'm not even disagreeing with you on content, just pointing out the problem in your logic.

Were you also proven correct about Sean Smith being a bust?  You know, your actual original point?

yeah he isn't any good either!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's just slightly better than Jason Allen right now!!!

I was right twice. Thanks for reminding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The logic is very simple. There are ONLY 2 things to judge a coach on.

1) Wins/Losses
2) Their decision making

It's simple. That's how you judge these people. Do you win games. And do you make smart decisions. Sparano is zero for two!

You appear to be applying some kind of boolean operator on each of your points. Wins/losses are usually given as the actual ratio or winning percentage, which in Sparano's case would be 22-18 or 0.550. As for quantifying decision making, I find it impressive that you're able to make that a black and white issue, with absolutely no gray.

So, to summarize:

 - Sparano makes bad decisions
 - Sparano chose to release Jason Allen
 - This proves that you were right about Jason Allen...?

If Sparano makes bad decisions, and Sparano agrees with you, doesn't that mean that you're wrong?

NO!!!!!!! The bad decision was playing him and starting him from Week 1. Letting him go in November is trying to make up for his bad decision  Roll Eyes
