with that being said stop throwing a hissy fit every time he throws a pick...everyone's giving up on a dude that has YET to play an entire NFL season at the helm.  Everyone wants to make a big deal about how many QB's Miami has had Since Marino retried, and the most consistant one?  JAY FIEDLER.  Whom I'm pretty sure nobody liked but he was consistant enough to have winning records and have a legit shot to make the playoffs year in and out.  The second the RHYTHM was messed with (see Ray Lucas, Brian Griese, and everyone's favorite AJ Feeley), Miami buckled....Look at Drew Bress (I know, "We could've had him twice!"..well we don't..so get over it), He was run out of San Diego for being inconsistant, he's doing pretty well in New Orleans wouldn't you say?  Peyton Manning thew almost 30 INT's his rookie year, if that happened today, no doubt he'd be labeled at a bust.  Now, I'm not comparing Henne to Brees or Manning because you can't, it's not fair...but all I'm saying is you don't know what a player can become.  Everyone speaks of Henne's potential...PO-TEN-TIAL..meaning what he COULD become, which is not a RIGHT NOW thing, Miami fans (myself included) have been spoiled with Marino, one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, there will never be another one, much less playing in Miami...so please...PLEASE accept the future second best..whomever it maybe..the point is patience is a virtue......so give me heat for my opinion, agree, dis-agree...I feel better now with that being said..Henne is not the problem..the play calling is the problem...but there's a thread for that already Smiley

^^ you have no credibility.  your ridiculous bias is well documented.

I don't know what Henne haters expect out of him.  He's a young developing QB.  All QB's take time to get good.  ALL.

Do you expect him to throw for 400 yards and 4 TD's every game?

What do you expect?

Good post, tubba.

I said pretty much the same thing but not in as many words.  Nice rant.

For once we agree. Peyton Manning threw 28 INT's in his first season. Considering Henne didn't start till week 4 last year, figure go to week 4 this year. Henne is really just entering his 2nd season as a starter........and our idiot coach gave up on him!  That Mondy after Week 17 can't come soon enough so we can rid ourselves of Ireland/Sparano!!

What the HELL am I going to do with my new orange Henne jersey I just bought?!?!?  LOL

I think the staff handcuffed Henne and expected him to do miracles without allowing him to audible at the line (per R. Williams comments).

when will our sufferring end???

Great post Tubba....I agree that Henne needs more time and I liked the development he has shown so far. If we were 0-8 I could see them making this move a lot more than when we are 4-4 and conceivably lost to 4 of the top 5 teams in the league. He was going to take some lumps and I do not think that anyone really expected much different from our young QB but I hardly believe Penny is the messiah that will right the ship. This move has me scratching my head for sure.

Who let tepop out of his hole???

I don't know, but what I do know is that one good game from Henne will have him scurrying back into it which is just another reason to keep Henne around.  Got forbid that Penny has a good game, we'll never hear the end of it.  Cry

Think about this, preseason, what did we think?

Week 1 - Buffalo - probably a win
Week 2 - Minnesota - probably a loss
Week 3 - Jets - probably a loss, possible win at home
Week 4 - Patriots - probably a loss
Week 5 - Green Bay - probably a loss
Week 6 - Pittsburgh - probably a loss
Week 7 - Cincinnati - Probably a win
Week 8 - Baltimore - Probably a loss

Most of us expected to come out with 2 or 3 wins with this ridiculous schedule.  We're at 4!  Green Bay is probably the best the NFC has to offer (maybe the Giants) and we beat them in their house.  Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England, and the Jets are among the NFL's best teams.  And we hung with 2 of those teams.  The Patriots' game was lost because of special teams, not because of Chad Henne.

Point is, this team isn't as bad as the air around the fan sites would make you believe.  Who cares what the record says, imagine the future, when the schedule eases up, we should be able to romp thru the last 8 games and win 6 of them with Henne at the helm.

I had us at 4 wins, but that was before I knew what Pittsburgh and Minnesota would be like.  I had us winning against Buffalo, Cincy, Pittsburgh and New England and losing the rest.  The sad thing is that had we won versus Pittsburgh, Henne probably still has a job.  Talk about getting screwed.

I can't believe no one has said the obvious. PLAY CALLING . I can not recall how many times I have heard they were not foolled bye that play they have seen it before. He didn't buy into that , hes seen that before. I can go on but i think Henning sucks..........
Henne has a great arm but we have no plays for him to marshall, I think Marshall was brought in to open up the run but we cant even do that .
