The honeymoon is over for him. Having to actually root for this clown becomes tougher and tougher each week.

Hopefully our new GM and coach next year can either control him (something Sparano can't) or we move him in the offseason for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Getting TWO 2nd round picks will be impossible with this attitude seeming to not change from Denver and the big contract we gave him. So if we can get a 2nd and a 3rd or a 2nd and a 4th for him I would jump on it.

The drops, the taunting penalties each week, the odd clapping after he makes a BAD play...you can't have this guy on a team and expect to actually win or go anywhere. He is a total clown. I don't see his time in Miami lasting long.

Brandon is the new T.O., he will run himself out of teams in this league within a couple years. Getting bounced from every city and burning many franchises.

I'm done with Marshall.

He needs to get his head in the game, or he needs to be placed on waivers.  Maybe someone should show him the tape on the Randy Moss story.  I knew it would be odd having a "diva recieva" on the team, but really, this dude is bad news.

Randy was in the last year of his contract.  Brandon still has a boat load of guaretteed money

^^ yeah maybe so, but he's not helping the team and in many cases he's actually hurting the team.

He needs to mature as a person and as a player for sure.  This "you don't throw me the ball so I'm going to sulk all the time" routine is already very exhausting.  You'd think that he would look at himself, specifically his drop numbers, and think about it...

I'm not ready to give up the guy, but he's got a serious case of adjusting to do.  Let's see how he reacts.

NO he doesn't. Miami worked his deal so that they can cut ties with him after 1 year and NOT take a cap hit (assuming the cap comes back)

Miami was actually smart on this and protected themselves against this very situation. If Marshall acted up. So I applaud Ireland for that. I mean you are still out the draft pick so you are screwed there but they can cut ties with him or trade him and not take a cap hit. Now, if they keep Marshall past 1 year and into year 2, then he becomes almost impossible to move.

So after this year WHOEVER is in charge of the Dolphins has to make the decision whether they want to put up with this clown for years. Or send his ass elsewhere and be someone elses problem

Marshall has no incentive to work hard.  He hates it here cause he feels like he should get the ball 20 times per game.

Given the current state of the season, I think the Fins should throw the ball at him 20x per game and see what happens.  They should also have Ricky running the ball 15x per game.

I agree. Just let the offense play non-conservative. Just let it fly.

He should.  He's one of the best receivers in the game.  It's like having Marshall Faulk back in the day and running him six times a game.  What's the point of having it if you aren't going to use it?

That said - every great WR is a freakin' Diva.  Every last one of them.  Marshall is doing what every good WR does.  He is being a little bitch.

That said, I agree with Mike.  He's on thin ice.

I thought everyone's reactions to the last game were a bit overblown (including the taunting penalty given by the ref). Marshall did toss the ball to Cutler, but it was fun and games. I didn't think anything of it and had a laugh, until I realized it was a penalty. As for him getting up and clapping after the missed ball, I thought that he thought he had drawn a penalty. If I remember correctly didn't he get up giving the traditional penalty flag motion before he clapped?

If I look back at previous posts from most of you guys I bet you ecstatic when Marshall first came ti Miami. What else did you expect once he got here?

I expected him to play hard, not drop balls, and get open.  I didn't expect him to whine and be a bitch when stuff goes wrong and drop 1-2 balls a game.

My take on Marshall is that he is like 90% of really good / great receivers in that he whines and bitches when the team is sucking. He'll flourish when/if the team starts playing well.

And I do believe "whining" is a bit of an exaggeration. He's frustrated, clearly, but I remember him saying a few games ago that the problem wasn't that he wasn't getting the ball -- he was getting the ball plenty -- but that he wasn't getting yards and touchdowns. The way he said it, it didn't seem like a slam on the team or even coaches (although he was vented a bit in that direction), he seemed to clearly admit that PART of it was him. That's more than can be said of some diva receivers.

Just to underscore how comparatively reasonable Marshall is, here's a quote from Larry Fitzgerald (from Peter King's MMQB):

"I've tasted the caviar now, so eating out of the garbage is not where I want to be.''

So because Fitzgerald might be a scumbag also that makes Marshall's actions forgivable? lol, your kidding right?!
