This isn't a question of "fairness". You're attempting to judge the abilities of someone with, I hope (since it's the only thing that makes the tiniest bit of sense), the goal to assess how he would do in the future. How does "dinging" him for a pick that was made by his BOSS increase the validity of your assessment?

Ireland sucks. So I would want someone better as a GM. Someone with a better track record. I mean Pat White, Sean Smith, Patrick Turner and insulting Dez Bryant by calling his mom a hooker...no talent and no class out of our GM! Those above mentioned items will probably be the death nail of Jeff Ireland's GM career once he leaves Miami. Whether it be after this season or if he happens to survive whenever his time in Miami ends. I can't see another team giving Ireland control as GM with those red flags on his resume

If an owner steps in or someone higher than the GM steps in and pulls rank and makes the pick. OK, but there is no proof that happened here with Pat White. Maybe have some class and don't say anything. Just let it go. What does the kids mother being a possible hooker have anything to do with wheter Dez Bryant is a good NFL player or even a good person in general? Gonna make the kid pay for the parents mistakes. Dez Bryant interviewd with probably 25-30 teams, yet only one asked the "hooker" question. So Ireland has no defense here. Every other GM in the league found a way around this without coming off like a fool. Ireland has no defense here.
