You ain't just a'woofin', Sister...I wore out at least 3 copies of the cassette in the early 80's, and it was part of the first group of 20-something CD's I bought when I converted. I count only the classic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road as a "better" Elton John album, and if you took Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Too Low For Zero, Madman Across The Water, Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy and Honkey Chateau and combined them together, you'd not only have a lot of "really" great rock, but also the exact 6-CD playlist I drove with from AZ to FL in a u-haul when I moved here in 1997. And to get back on thread...

I pretty much like most of the "folk/rock/alternative" takes on classic Christmas tunes that I've heard in recent years, especially when compared to classic versions. It's probably the only musical genre (or sub-category) where I like remakes more than the originals.
