Foxes and dogs are in the same family....Canidae.

Just like house cats and panthers are in the same family...Felidae but different genus.

True...but you were implying that foxes are somehow more different from dogs than panthers are from cats.

I don't think this firing comes as any surprise to anyone...though I think Fox just got caught up in the hurricane of:

* Not having any quality QB play
* Only decent WR (Steve Smith) spends the entire season banged up and ineffective
* Losing best RB (DeAngelo Williams) to injury
* Losing best defensive player (Peppers) to free agency
* Having one of the worst GMs in the league (Hurney) calling the personnel shots
