So Pat White was a David Lee, Dan Henning and Bill Parcells pick?  All 4 are gone.  Interesting.

Ricky and Ronnie are likely both gone and Lex Hilliard will get a more prominent role?  This is more what I expected.  They'll have to find another RB in the draft or via free agency, but not necessarily in the first round.

Kevin Kolb is the best available trade option?  I don't think so.  He's a west coast type of QB and doesn't seem to fit with Sparano's offense if you ask me.  I also don't think that Vince Young fits the Sparano mold either, he's too unpredictable.  You know who I think fits the Sparano mold that we might be able to get?  Kyle Orton.  Orton isn't flashy, but he's safe.  Sparano preaches ball security and Orton is fairly good at that.  Only 9 INT's last year for Denver and had only 12 in both 2009 and 2008.  I think Tony's biggest problem with Henne is the  INT's.  He can live with everything else, but he throws too many picks.  I think Orton could work well in a run first pass second offense which is what Sparano likes.  The thing that might nix that would be what Mike Nolan thinks about Orton.  If he doesn't like him then he won't be coming to Miami, but if he does like him, I think Miami could pursue him.  Whether or not Denver is willing to give him up and for what is another question.

Maybe, maybe not.  Standard procedure.  Blame every bad move on people who left, the people who stay take credit for every good move.  What's David Lee going to do?  Hold a press conference to deny it. 

My landlord sold the apt building 6 months ago. Every single problem that the new landlord has had gets blamed on the poor maintenance of the prior landlord.   Any time I worked in an office if someone quit every problem was blamed on that person for three months. 

I bet some ex-IT person from Southwest had gotten an unfair portion of the blame for things they had nothing to do with.

If this lockout goes into the summer and no trading or free agency until late July or August, the BEST option becomes Chad Henne because NO quarterback will learn a new offense in a couple weeks. Henne then locks up the job by default. And you will see Miami run a similar offense to last years, just with Daboll calling the plays not Henning. BEcause trying to install a new offense within a couple weeks would be impossible and dumb on every level.

This is why I feel this is a bad year for teams to change coaching staffs.  If TC is two weeks or so, teams will not be able to install new schemes.  It will have to be, "remember the playbook from last year, well that's this years playbook too." 

I think you will also see a premium being paid for experienced even if just fair QBs.   Vince Young, Carson Palmer and Chad Pennington have a shot a getting a new playbook and be ready to play in two weeks;  Blaine Gabbert or Ryan Mallett don't.   Don't be shocked if you see the Brett Favre sign onto a team halfway thru a two week training camp.

In answer to Pappy13, I like Orton and he would be a big step up over anyone on the roster right now.  I don't think the Dolphins should go after him, unless the Broncos express interest in trading him first, because I think the price tag would be too high otherwise.

Modified to add:  I did a quick check on the Denver Post, and there is a lot of speculation regarding his future with the Broncos, or if he even has one.
