The team that I think Miami historically has problems with is any team out of Houston, Texas.

In the 70's, the Oilers and Coach Bum Philips had Shula's number just like Marv Levey did in the late 80's and throughout the 90's.

Plus, Miami has not beaten the Texans in 5 straight tries.

I don't count the Titans because of course, they are in Nashville.

My runner up is the New York Jets.

I gotta agree with the Texans, I just don't understand how they have lost to them in the past.  I seem to recall the Raiders used to give the Fins trouble also, although not lately.  Probably an honorable mention to the Ravens.

The Chiefs also give us a hard time (at least they did.)  Even when we had Madison and Surtain and ran that great cover 2 defense, Tony Gonzalez use to beat us up the seam.  It happened a lot, even when I felt that we were the better team.

There are only 5 teams in the league which the Dolphins have a losing record against, in team history...

Houston Texans: 0-5
New York Giants: 2-4
Pittsburgh Steelers: 9-12
Oakland Raiders: 13-16-1
New York Jets: 42-47-1

I'm surprised to see that we've only played the Giants 6 times in team history.  I'm also surprised to see that we've NEVER beat the Texans in 5 tries.

I was fully aware of that, but didn't know the number. This has been a thorn in my side for some time now.

Until the mid 1980's, they used to lose just about every time they played against the AFC West on the road.

That first loss of the season one year against the Texans was the beginning of the end for this team.

And I was at the Giants game in Jersey that we won in 03, and will be at the game this year
