I think Crowder gets much more criticism than he deserves. He is a solid player.

I'll jump on the undeserved criticism pile then...I'd love to see Channing Crowder somewhere else.

I don't hate Crowder, and I think he's a serviceable guy.  But since you asked for a name, that's what I came up with up.  Right now, there aren't  a lot of guys on the team who stand out as being a detrimental weak link.  Most of the players are okay, just nothing special.  Crowder gets attention because he runs his mouth.  Some of the stuff he says embarrasses me as a Dolphin fan (i.e. - his comments after the trip-gate).

Some may point out Henne as a weak link, but I think we still need him on the roster in 2011........either as a backup, or as the starter if we are unable to improve at the position.  No point in dumping players when there isn't an option to upgrade.

Benny Sapp...just not a good player and I'd rather give a younger, up and comer a chance.  He makes the occasional big play, but gives up more big plays.

Don't hit me, but I think mine might be Ronnie Brown (or RUNNY BROWN, as he's known in some circles).  I think he's a good player, but if we go back to a cap, I'm just not sure he's worth what he will cost.  He isn't the game-changing player that we've been playing for.  I think he doesn't bring much more than a free-agent type back.

I'm surprised so many people are picking players who would add some depth even if moved into a backup role. I'd have to say I don't want Pennington on the roster next year. The guy did a great service to us one year, but his time is over.

I'd like to change my vote.  I forgot about Pennington.

Yeah, me too.  But, at the same time, I still don't want Ricky around.  After what he put out in the media earlier this off-season, I'm not interested in having players like that.  And, he's not the Ricky of old.  He runs out of bounds, avoids contact, and is generally slower.  If he had a better attitude, so would I.

Looks like the Dolphins have some cleaning house to do:

Ronnie Brown
Ricky Williams
Chad Pennington
Channing Crowder

These guys are all older and 3 of the 4 were the mid-2000's "core" players. It's 2011 and I think the Dolphins need to do some mini-house keeping here.

If you watch Crowder, he is pretty damn good at pointing out where the play is going and getting his guys adjusted.  He is a solid tackler and although he isn't an interception machine he doesn't get burnt in coverage.  I say keep him a little longer!

Ronnie is a guy I am ready to see go.  Really Ronnie and Ricky since I always worry about Ricky dropping the ball and am not a fan of his attitude.  Both are slow and overpaid.  Time for some speed and elusiveness at that position.

I'd love to upgrade over Crowder, but he is serviceable and we don't have anyone ready to step up. If we want to be a contender, we need to get his upgrade in place before getting rid of him.

Now that is just too rational for this group. You should be yelling about walking papers.

^^^Now, now...I led the charge on the Crowder brigade, but I specifically stated that he's so far down the list of upgrade needs that if they get around to him, it must mean they've upgraded at the "really need" positions.

I don't think he will cost that much.  His numbers last year were pretty unimpressive for a former 1st round draft pick, that added to his past injuries, I don't think other teams are going to be offering him big bucks.  Unless the Fins get lucky and draft a good RB I think he'll be back.  Hopefully, the new O-Line will open some 5 yard wide holes for him to run through.

I'm kinda with Brian.  He's not a superstar, but when he's out, I think you feel it.

Well thats using a little false logic, by assuming the Fins won't bring someone in to replace him.
