Where is your favorite place to eat out? Why, what makes it so great?

We have a local chain nearby called Tijuana Flats.  Its a southwestern/mexican place.  Its my go-to for quick meals and lunches.

For a nice dinner, we typically default to the hibachi Japanese steakhouse type place, or the Melting Pot, or the local Churrascaria.  I love all-you-can-eat steak!

Elephant Bar  It's a chain but they have great food and drinks and the kids love it too!

There is a place that is near me,that I used to eat at a lot...Little Tokyo,I only ate take out from there...I used to like,I'd get hibachi beef or chicken....Then it seemed like the portions got smaller, and the price went up,and I stopped going there....

Someone asked me today.."B where's your favorite restaurant?"...I actually, sat there and had to think about it....I couldn't give him an answer.I'm trying to watch what I eat,so I'm trying to avoid the "all you can eat places"  Cheesy I can't help myself....

I don't do dinner out a lot, mostly lunch. This was my answer as well. I just ate there Tuesday.

Tijauan Flats rocks!! We eat there quite often!! We have a bunch of them around here.

Unfortunately since I have given up working out and taken up eating out I usually do it at least once a day and therefore appear to have more than a few. My numero uno is Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. It's a a little pricey for a family of four so I don't get it too often but it is definitely my favorite.

Carlos and Pepe's on Atlantic Ave, in Delray Beach. Amazing food, humongous portions, and insanely good service. What more could I want out of a Mexican food restaurant?

Runner-up:  Hotdog-opolis (for lunches out)

Not to hijack, but I had to comment because I am absolutely shocked at this statement. You were the ultimate get up and go to the gym at 4:00 type of guy.

And to keep it on track somewhat, I am surprised at the amount of preference for Mexican food.

^^ Word on Both ....CF Shocked But completely understand it, I sort of did the same thing....

We are some Mexican food lovin bunch....(and also Japanese steak house people too!) We tend to have more Tex-Mex here...Purple Burrito is California style, which I love, but the purple burrito tends to be really greasy at times.

Yes!

Also, I love Tijuana Flats. I like Zona Fresca a bit more. (I'm not sure if there is only 1 of those.)

For a sit down dinner my favorite place is Sublime. It's a local vegan place. I also LOVE this Japanese/sushi place Marumi Sushi.

Every time I'm in Montreal we go to a restaurant called Carlos & Pepe's, great happy hour, great food.

My absolute favorite place to eat I have narrowed down to 2.

Friendly Dolphin in Rocky Point, Mexico has some amazing food and I only get to eat there a few times a year.

Maestros City Hall Steakhouse - By far my favorite steakhouse on the planet and with most of the meals being well over $100.00 per person we go maybe twice a year for a special occasion but the food is amazing.

Now if we are talking about places I eat at more frequently there is a local sports bar called Lucky Lou's that I probably dine at once a week and they have amazing food.

For lunch there is a little sub shop up the street from my office I eat at quite a bit called Luv-A-Sub which has good prices and piles on the ingredients.
