Either retire or serve a 100 game suspension.  http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?w=1airi&storyId=6310125&i=TOP&topslot=1

What a sad ending to a pretty good career. One would have thought he would have learned after the first suspension.

Pujols and A-Rod may disagree, but he was amazing. If history is any indication, he can kiss the Hall goodbye. How hard is it to not get caught taking steroids? Moron.

As a pure right handed hitter Manny is in a class above AROD and Puljos. Those 2 are power hitters which isn't a knock on them. But Manny was in a different class when it came to swinging the stick. Couldn't go righty-righty match up with Manny and gain an edge. With the other 2 you can.

You don't watch the National League much do you?  Pujols is not a pure power hitter.

I watch the national league just pleanty. Nobody is knocking Puljos, but as a pure right handed hitter Manny in his prime was better. Sorry, its the truth!

In their first ten years of play, Pujols had over 30 hr's and 100 rbi's every year and Manny didn't. Also in the same timeframe Puljos never had below a .300BA and hit for over .350 twice compared to Manny doing it once.
But yeah Manny is a much better hitter all around

AROD with one less season has more hr's and rbi's and his BA, SLG and OB are just behind Manny's. Not enough of a difference to justify being "on another level hitting"

We have not even touched that ManRam has now been popped twice for illegal substances and if ARoD along with many others were taking them it is hard to imagine Manny wasnt too.

It's NOT about the numbers and the drugs, those are 2 different debates. Your missing the entire point of this debate. But whatever. Believe what ya want

And they are allowed. It's a free country.

But all of the baseball insiders (ie Onley, Gammons, Verducci) agree with me. So I am in good company!

bringing up facts about a totally different debate and a totally off topic point.

Whatever, believe what ya want. Your knowledge of baseball is about the same as football. Like when ya all claimed Jason Allen was a "good" or "average" CB! lol lol

Yeah, whatever.  You are the one bringing up Jason Allen in a baseball thread, rather than find facts and links to support your opinion.  In the words of the immortal Maine, who has forgotten more about baseball than you will ever know:  Thanks for playing.

That doesn't even make any sense.

I gave you facts, read a column by Buster, Gammons, Verducci. They all agree with my statement. You just choose to ignore the facts I present and live in your fantasy land. Plus you are debating a totally different issue than the one I presented.  The deabte YOU presented you are right, but that isn't the debate I presented and was talking about.

You can disagree if you want. You are wrong, but are you entitled to disagree and believe the wrong opinion.
