I found it cheaper on the internet

There are picks I would have liked better and there are picks I would have liked less.

I agree.  But the thought of having a sick secondary once again gave me butterflies.  Undecided

Pats take an OT in Nate Solder... A little surprised, but I stopped questioning the Patsies' draft picks years ago. No one drafts like the Patriots, as sad as that makes me to say it.

They have actually missed a lot on recent picks. They stockpile picks well, but they haven't hit too many home runs

Hope Mark Ingram packed a suitcase. He will be back tomorrow for Rd 2 maybe.

Don't see teams taking many RB's in Rd 1 anymore. No value there unless its a very special player. Ingram isn't. He only carried about 14 times a game in Alabama I believe.

Better hope New Orleans or Pats take him tonight or else Rd 2 he will be there

Sorry I'm a little late to the party.  I like the Pouncey pick as well.  Our interior line just got ten times better.  As for Cleveland robbing Atlanta blind, all I can say is this:  If Atlanta doesn't get it done in the next 3-4 years, it aint getting done.

^^ Ryan, Turner, White, Jones, Gonzalez.......they got a big play offense!! If their defense can keep teams under 20 they will be tough to beat.

THey are building it with offense, they way it needs to be done in the NFL in this day of age.

But they pretty much mortgaged their future to get Julio Jones.   It's only a matter of time before the Piper comes to collect.

GOOD!! They are going for it!!! Mortgage their future, such a silly statment. If they win a Super Bowl (which they might now) who cares!! They were the #1 seed in the NFC last year and just got more explosive on offense. They have a young QB entering his prime. They have a lethal 1-2 punch at WR and a workhorse RB.

GO FOR IT!! Try to win now!! Try to win a F'n ring!!  At some point ya gotta go for it. You can't sit on your hands forever trying to build it one stinkin pick at a time. Superstars win in this league. You need superstars!

Atlanta gave up the following:  their first, second and fourth rounders in 2011 as well as their first and fourth rounders in 2012.  To me, that's mortgaging the future.  There were some good receivers to be had in the second and third rounds.  I would not have made that trade if I was Atlanta's GM.

It made sense for Atlanta, because they are legitimately close to being a primary SB contender, and the window on two of their offensive weapons (Gonzalez and, because of short shelf life, Turner) is closing soon. They make a move for another explosive offensive threat and said, in no uncertain terms, that they want to win it all in 2011.

It made sense for Cleveland because they really are nowhere near contending for a SB, and adding quality draft picks this year and next to refresh their roster with young talent was the smart way to go.

Draft Q for anyone...

With a number of teams here late in round one looking to trade out of the round, would you deal your 3rd rounder this year, plus future picks (no first rounders) to jump back into round one to take Ryan Mallett?
