Cowboys picking an injured OLB... picking injured players always scares me. Especially that high. He's probably not going to play at all this year.

Trading for the #1 overall pick is close to impossible. Even if the Saints wind up in the middle of the pack, it would probably require both NE's first rounders + their #1 in 2013 + a few second round picks.

for a guy who many consider to be the NEXT Peyton Manning....it's worth it!

And how do you nullify that threat?

Sack the QB so he can't throw the friggin ball

Jesus Christ, would you read what I quoted from you. How do you nullify THE PASS RUSHERS?

Wow, Barry Sanders was popular. Almost couldn't hear the pick over the crowd.

I can't read your mind, be more clear!!

How do you nullfy pass rushers...Have a QB who can make quick reads to explosive WR's who can break big plays. Have RB's who can pick up blitzes and chip to help OT's.

Really not that difficult. But if you don't have a quality QB, it all means nothing. You gotta be able to throw the ball in this league. Having a franchise LT is fine, but the QB is more important

Really not that difficult.

If it really were "not that difficult", teams wouldn't be picking pass rushers left and right. You said yourself that the rules today are in their favor. That makes it so much more important to protect the most important player on your team.

Roughly 30 picks until Miami is on the clock in round three. One guy that intrigues me a little is the teammate of the QB that my Niners just drafted, TE Virgil Green, Nevada. Not a monster blocking TE...more a WR in a TE body. Good WR skills though, and I think this team needs a pass catching TE to help Henne or whoever ends up under center. DJ Williams is another TE I like, but think Green is the better receiver.

Thoughts on guys you might like to see for Miami in round three?

But if you want to STOP the passing game you must have multiple guys who can get to the QB at any costs. Ya gotta try to stop it!  Roll Eyes

Thats why speed rushers are a premium. Thats why Miami is lucky to maybe have the BEST in the game today in Wake!!

RB, WR, TE. Not in that order, just a skill position player who can make a play. A pass catching TE, I'm fine with.

If Mallett is there we are NUTS if we don't take him. If he isn't there, then a playmaker type. Someone who can make a play

I'm surprised the Raiders didn't grab him (Mallett) right there...

Pats with all of this trading and almost never making a pick is getting annoying. Belichick now trying to just prove he is so much smarter than everyone else. At some point ya gotta make a pick otherwise he is just doing this to get his jollys off somehow. I don't get it
