He might have been dog-fighting in a bar with Ben Rothlesberger! lol

Ireland/Sparano are gonna take heat for this draft. I don't mind taking a RB, but trading away a 3rd, 5th and 7th to trade up 18 spots? They probably could have had him without trading up.

Not saying I'm against the pick, but they picked Ronnie Brown, right?

The 3rd means nothing. Because you get a 2nd instead. So cross that off, thats a wash. We gave up a 5th and a 7th to get into Rd 2. That's not a bad deal. 7th round, who cares.

And if you gotta part with a 5th rounder to get teh guy you want IN ROUND 2, Im all for it.

Mallet was partying with Charlie Sheen.

The difference between the 62nd overall and the 79th overall is 89 points according to "the chart". Our 5th rounder is (was) 33 points and our 7th rounder a measly 4.6 points. So from that point of view, it seems like a good deal.

Ok, something is going on with Mallet. You don't drop to the 3rd round like this without a reason. Something has been going on that no one is talking about.

I'm happy with the trade...thought they moved up enough to warrant losing the later picks.

Just my opinion, and I could be completely off...but I see these first two picks as Ireland/Sparano saying that they're NOT ready to give up on Henne and are giving him one last shot, with improved offensive support, to show that he can win games as Miami's starting QB.

I was thinking the same thing.  There are a lot of similarities.  He seems to hit the hole a lot harder than Ronnie though (that'swhatshesaid).
