I'd hate to think there will be no football in 2011.  This lack of free agency is seriously annoying already .

Is it only me, or does it seem like no one cares about the fans.  The media seems to cover the players and the owners.  It's always owners this, players that.  What about the fans?

If not for us, their business would not exist.  We all know this but still we, the fans, have no voice in this situation.  I'm sick and tired of this. Fans should voice their opinion and prove that it's our dollars that fuel this sport.  Maybe someone will listen then.  I found this simple way to do it online http://www.fanswantfootball.org

It's interesting what fans of other teams and fans of football in general have to say.  Anyway, I hope they can fix this situation soon.

I don't that they don't care about the fans.  I think that, in large part, both sides do.  However, this is ultimately a business and it has to make sense financially for both sides or the sport won't be able to exist.

I think that they might be taking the fans for granted, however, just assuming that they'll come back when the sport does.  I don't know if that's the case.  I am not looking forward to football like I did.  This probably has something to do with it, but it's also because other sports (namely the NBA) are taking my attention.  The NFL needs to realize the risk, and not just assume that they're going to be the #1 sport.

Boo f'n hoo

Football or no football, that'll impact the way we spend our Sundays 5 months a year.

The stakes are a LOT higher for the players (and the owners).

Since when has the NFL cared about the fans in general? We have a whole thread discussing season ticket holders and their general dissatisfaction with how they have been treated. The common football fan has been forgotten by the NFL for a while now.

The NFL (Sports in General) are a drug. Fans are the addict. No matter what the NFL or any Sports League does, the fans like sheep always return. Like an addict to get his fix.

The owners know it, the tv networks know it, the players know it.

If this work stoppage causes the cancellation of any games, the fans will be slow to return.

I won't miss a couple games in September.  Still warm enough here in the North to get in a few last rounds of golf before the snow flies.
