They seem to have found Luongo's weakspot which the announcers have repeatedly said was high glove side.  But Luongo gave up some cheesey goals between his legs in game 4.   I can't see him having three bad games in a row.

Last night Boston actually looked like the faster team.  I also enjoyed the mass fighting and attempts to pick the Vancouver guy's noses (I know that's not what it was about but still it looked hysterical) I was mildly confused as to why Vancouver was allowed a double minor in a game as I know what constitutes a major or misconduct vs a minor but what the hell is a double minor?

Short answer: he didn't draw blood (blood usually constitutes a 5:00 major most of the time)

Long Answer: Its sort of by intrepretation of how vicious a hit would be (honestly there will never be a 5 minute major for "delay of game" so it has to be hit related). Most of the time if it causes a player to go off the ice to the dressing room it gets to be called as a 5 minute major but this is not always consistent. This is usually up to the intrepretation of the refs and depending on who is calling the game may be rougher or ligher on penalty calls depending on the player. Stars and superstars are more protected and repeat offenders and just outright trouble makers get quick whistles against them (sometimes even if they are the ones that got hit). This is sort of a loose end the league needs to tie up but you honestly don't see people lining up to be a ref more than a player. They have a shortage of people who can call an honest, unbiased game and most of the current refs do not fit that qualification.

Was that more confusing than what you were asking for?

If you never saw him play in Florida, I would believe that statement but he has some sort of mental issue that if he gives up one goal (or one that he feels that he should have had) he mentally unravels and starts to lose his focus. Cory Schnider has filled in for him pretty well and I expect to see him fill in if Luongo drops the ball tonight.

Thomas for the most part can blow off a bad goal (look to the Tampa/Boston series) where he slammed his stick in frustration (in Tampa) then 5 minutes later is making stops and laughing and smiling at the players.

This series is ugly. Some great goalie play, but the physicality and cheap shots is pretty disturbing for a Stanley Cup Finals.

Ooh, don't forget the dives. Apparently Vancouver is complaing about the non-calls of diving yet they are the worst offender of it.

If it was not for the crummy cheap shots and the child like finger pointing/taunting/etc. crap that has been going on, this would be a great series for the average to non fan of the sport. Oh, well.

I think what is worse is that the coach is complaining about Boston making all of the dives instead. That tells me that the Vancouver coach is completely telling his players to dive and act to get penalties. It seemed to work in the regular season because they were ranked #1 in power play goals. Its just a sad way of playing. I expect to see that more in soccer/football than in hockey.

I thought it was a great game, but then again, I'm not a Bruins fan like pretty much everyone else who has posted above me on this page. Wink

I have my pool league tomorrow so my hope is for game 7 to go scoreless into OT when I can finally pay attention.

The games in Vancouver have been much more hard-hitting and defensive.  I can't figure out why Luongo can't seem to play on the road.  He looks unbeatable at home, but take him out of the arena and he's suddenly swiss cheese.

I don't get it.

Looking forward to rooting against the Bruins Wednesday night.

Really?  What games have you been watching?
Games in Vancouver: 7 total goals (2.33 per game)
Games in Boston: 20 total goals (6.67 per game)

Which ones have been more defensive?
