I was reading peter Kings top 50 free agents and he had Ronnie Brown at 33 and Matt Roth at 50. He suggests New England as the best fit for each one.  Personally I think it would suck.

No surprise there seem New England always lands our cast offs. I am sure he (Brown) will go there and play the best games of his career there.

I will never understand why we cut Matt Roth.

Ronnie doesn't scare me at all.

I know why, Parcells never liked him. Thought he was faking an injury. Guy didn't miss a game for 2 years, finally gets hurt and Parcelsl thinks he faking. Parcells is a scumbag

I don't think the Pats are going after Roth.  NEP have fat Albert.  Not sure how I feel about him.  He is a malcontent that lacks proper work ethic.  But he is hugely talented and NE didn't pay a lot for him.

Fat Albert is overrated and overpaid.  Good luck.

^^^ as I said I have mixed felling.  Overpaid -- yes, but much of that was already paid for by the Redskins, he will cost NE $5 million this year.

Worst case -- cost NE $5 million and a 2013 5th round pick.

Not inconceivable he turns himself around in NE, it isn't like that hasn't happened before.  And either NE keeps him long term or trades him for a much higher pick.

This trade is no riskier then sending a 4th to Oakland for Moss.  It might work out it might not, but if it doesn't it doesn't cost NE that much.
