Charles Clay, Frank Kearse and Jimmy Wilson practiced today which means they are signed.  All 6-7th rounders.  Not exactly the guys we are really looking for, Thomas is much bigger news.

The new CBA what are being described as "strong anti-holdout provisions" (although details are scarce).

With the rookie cap, slotting everyone in also became a lot simpler.

The length-of-contract disputes are also a thing of the past with all rookie contracts fixed in length (plus non-negotiable option year).

All in all, getting rookies signed should be a much easier process with the new CBA.

if a rookie holds out past some date in August, I think the 3rd week in August, they lose a years service.

Thats a wasted year towards their pension and a bunch of other things
