The Greatest QB EVER!!

I can understand not wanting to give up too early on a guy, but you can't honestly think that Chad Henne is the next Drew Brees!!!  I'll be the first to apologize if Henne starts putting up Drew Brees-type numbers, but that's a BIG "IF"...

not saying he's the next brees but um the #'s dont lie and henne is in some areas better

i think the chargers gave up on brees didn't they Huh luckily they walked away with rivers

i mean lets look at this shit

Henne has more yards
Henne has a better record
Henne has a better Comp %
Henne higher QB Rating
Henne more ypg

INT ratio about even
TD's 28 Brees 27 Henne
INTs 31 Brees 33 Henne

this is through 27 starts for bothn

and people saying henne getting worse, not worse then from going 8-8 to 2-9

just something to think about

i wonder if we go back in time to SD radio if they was saying the same things we're saying "get rid of brees, he's garbage" hahaha

and henne has put up brees type #'s according to their 1st 27 starts, now lets see if the 3rd seasons starting is the magic #

Let’s be honest.  While Henne’s numbers have been SLIGHTLY better in SOME of those statistical categories, it’s only by a SMALL margin.  Furthermore, what happened with Brees (something 'clicked' in his 3rd year as a starter) doesn't happen with every quarterback who struggles in his first two seasons as a full-time starter.  Henne COULD be the next Brees -OR- he could be the next Tim Couch, David Carr, Alex Smith…  It’s more probable that he’ll end up like one of those ‘average’ QBs than like Brees.  I like your optimism though!

Call me crazy, but I think all this talk about needing an upgrade over him is gonna light a fire under Henne's ass and he's gonna come out firing on all cylinders.  Call it extreme optimism, but I just have this crazy feeling he's going to turn heads in the right direction.  None of you will agree, because his name isn't Dan Marino, so be it

Most QBs are made great by their ability to lead a scoring drive at the end of a game.  Henne chooses to throw balls 5 yards down the middle with no timeouts and has no sense of urgency getting the ball snapped afterwards.  WTF?  HOW DO YOU DEFEND A GUY WHO DOES THAT?  Even if you try to blame the coaching, any NFL QB would know that surrendering a game that is in reach will end your career and they would choose to go against the coaching.

If I see that crap again this year, I will lead the publicity charge to shitcan his ass!

Otherwise, Henne has some good moments and just needs to be more sure where to go with the ball.  Red zone and deep throws are often on the coaches but if Henne misses or dumps off with a deep guy open it is on him.  Henne tends to go for the safe underneath stuff, ignore the big plays and where has it gotten him?  Long field goal tries and plenty of INTs anyway.

He had a terrible practice yesterday and everyone there said nothing has changed with him. Same mistakes he always makes.

If you base your entire season off one day of training camp..ignore the fact that there was, ya know, a lockout..then you're a moron and you should just stop posting here

Its not one day, its the start of the 3rd year.....it never changes. How many times do you have to see the same mistakes over and over
