If its lasts a month I will be surprised

But if he saved his money, good for him and he can retire in decent health...god bless him

I'm shocked he didn't play for Philadelphia's dream team.
Crowder is one of my fave players and it's great to see him be a fin from wire to wire
He was also a gator, huge plus
All in all he put in some good seasons for us and was an emotional leader.

At this point, why wouldn't the Dolphins offer him a minimum contract?  Something's better than nothing...

they don't want him around.

Plus what he said about them today on the radio about the organization not wanting any players (like himself) to have personalities is a lower-level version of what Ricky did badmouthing the organization after last season. No chance they would take him back

Just listened to the WHOLE audio of Channing on Sid today announing his retirement. Interesting.

Channing had offers from Chicago, NE, Buffalo, and Philly and he said he didn't want to move to the northeast with his wife.

Channing KILLED Jeff Ireland. Sad not nice things about him. That is why you will never see him un-retire to play for the Fins. Can't take those words back. They are out there

excellent comment.  I have never seen more incompetent LB who talked the talk but NEVER walked the walk.

nice how he tried to hit up the PATS for a job.  I am glad his days are done in SOFLA.

I am a little late on this but I did hear it yesterday and was really shocked when I heard it.

Give the guy some credit for not being a trader!  We ditched him, not the other way around.  He would be an upgrade on many teams and the jury is out on our replacement.

He was a very good player, just not enough big plays to make him stand out.  The knee injury really hampered him last year and if it hadn't been for that, I think he would have thrived next to Dansby.

Don't forget it was the secondary that let us down in our recent era of suck, not the defensive front.  He kicked ass against the run, heald his own on tight ends and other than a few plays here and there did a great job cluing in our defensive front to adjustments in their assignments.

Lastly, I thought he was funny as hell.  Others think he was a loudmouth, but if you hear him talk it is always with a tone of humor.  Personally, I think he was good for the team and doesn't deserve half of the BS fans hand him.  Hopefully he is able to transition into something else with ease.

IMO the most shocking thing about the whole thing, his retirement is getting much more publicity than anything he ever did on the field...

Bye Channing...Not gonna miss you...
