Every year there is a team or two that makes a leap forward from the year before...

Who do you think this years surprise team is going to be?

Cincinnati Bengals.

Dalton and AJ Green will help the offense get on track and they play a very easy schedule compared to last year. They played a brutal schedule last year that included Pittsburgh and Baltimore twice, New England, Atlanta, Indy, Jets, New Orleans and San Diego. Their "easy" games were Cleveland twice, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Miami and Buffalo.

I expect them to have 7 or 8 wins this year and if they get hot more.

Cleveland might also shock some people.

The Detroit Lions.  I think they make the playoffs this year.

Watching Washington's defense last night, I'd have to say it wouldn't surprise me to see them do well this year.

I also think the Lions can be contenders if and only if Stafford can stay healthy.

I'm on the Lions bandwagon as well...but also think the 49ers will surprise folks by winning the NFC West.

You're being facetious, right? The whole division is so terrible, it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone if the 49ers won it with a massive 8 or 9 wins.

(bookies have the 49'ers and Rams just about tied as favorites to win the NFC West)

No facetiousness at all... I haven't seen a single website or sports publication picking SF to win the West. I've seen AZ, St. Louis, even Seattle...but not SF.

I'm gonna go with Houston. 3 of the last 4 years they've gone 8-8/8-8/9-7. Not really feeling Jacksonville or Tennesee, and Houston always gives Indy heart attacks when they play them. I think they can sneak into the wild card.

I don't mean to completely poop on your theory....but I just had a conversation with some buddies about how the Bengals will go 0 - 16 this year....they look terrible....I do agree with you on Cleveland though..I'm a firm believer in Colt McCoy

Win 11 games.  Win a play off game or two.
