but u guys do understand that these 2 schools play each other in other sports right
How many of UM's sports play at Dolphin Stadium?

And how many Gator teams won a national championship in 2009?  How many won that championship on the field at Dolphin Stadium?

The alumni also make up a big part of the fan bases at these schools.  And they have memories like elephants.

The majority of alum that was fans back then have since passed away.  It was 40 years ago.

The rivalry that exist between the Dolphins and Patriots is NOT based on the snow plow game, it is based on the teams being in the same division and playing each other at least twice a year.

This is anchent history.  Plus the Dolphins are honoring a Florida football team who also has many fans who are Dolphin fans.  This would not be the same as the Lions honoring Ohio.

Having the Dolphins proshop selling Jets, Bills and Patriots jerseys is a reason to be upset.  Honoring a local football team is not.

Dolphins stadium isn't the Hurricanes' field.  It's the Dolphins field.  The hurricanes go there because they don't have their own.  They are tenants.  It would be different if it were on UM campus or something.

I go to Dolphin games all the time and there's barely a trace that the Hurricanes even play there.  There's Marlin stuff and Dolphins stuff very visible, but I can't recall any UM stuff. (It's probably there somewhere.)

Also, (summarizing what Wilbon and Kornheiser said about this yesterday) UF is a state school, with a big portion of the alumni down here.  It's totally appropriate for Pro Teams to reach out to multiple schools in the same state.

Hey Hurricanes, get your own field and then you can let whoever you want on it.  Don't rent on and then bitch about it.  (Oh yeah, also stop getting bribed with sex from boat prostitutes.)

The Dolphins can do whatever they want, but stuff like this, stuff like selling Jets jerseys in your pro shop and stuff like flying to interview Jim Harbaugh when Sparano is still your coach just shows that the Dolphins executives simply "don't get it" and are not "football people".

They're centering this whole celebration during the Denver game for a shitty-ass QB who might not even be on the roster by week 8, because he's a shitty hack.

It's a joke, but it's the Dolphins' right to make themselves look like a joke.

When did U. o'Miami come to the current Joe Robbie-era stadium?

When did they leave the Orange Bowl?  I was under the impression that they'd been in the Orange Bowl until fairly recently, but I reserve the right to be wrong.

I remember watching them play each other in '03 (?)Anyway it was the game where Florida was way ahead at the half and then Miami came back and won( the game where Brock Berlin got in trouble for making the slashing motion acros his throat)It was played in Miami and It seemed to me that the crowd was about 50-50.I think there are alot of Gator alums down there.
