^^ My bet is that both New England and Houston will be division winners this season.  Oakland and Cinci won't even be wild card teams.

Yes, NEP and Houston as teams are better than Oakland and Cinci.  Not sure if you can say NEP and Houston have better passing defense than Oakland and Cinci.

Too early in the season to use this years stats.  But last year, Houston had the worst passing defense in the league.  NE was third worse.  Chargers did a pretty good job ripping thru NE defense yesterday, just like Henne did.

Everyone was up in arms that we didn't pull the trigger on the Orton trade.  Comparing stats between the two gives an idea if it was worth passing up or not.  There are a few people on here that are interested in the comparison.
And beyond that, if you are not interested just ignore it. Really how hard is that?

Orton won the game for his team yesterday with his play.

Henne lost it for us by not executing in the red zone. Anyone who thinks Henne wasn't the problem yesterday isn't paying attention. Once we got in the redzone he was beyond horrible. We don't expect Henne to be Rodgers or Brady, but to punch it in the endzone more than once a game isn't asking a lot. Especially when you have 4 trips and too many opportunities to mention. Lead a TD drive for pete sakes!

Yesterday was the same ole Chad Henne, anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves or has their head in the sand

This is just one of the reasons that this website is even funnier than The Onion.

Tepop on Henne 9/12/11
"While a good amount of his passing yards were in garbage time, he did show some speed out there.  Maybe he wil turn out to be ok."

Tepop on Henne 9/18/11
"Henne still fucking blows"

Of course he isn't the only one who does it here, but he is the most entertaining about it.

Houston went out and got a big upgrade at CB (from Cincinnati, no less), so HOU's DBs got better while CIN's got worse.
OAK lost the best CB in the league.

HOU vs. CIN or OAK last year (in passing defense) is not remotely the same as this year.

Henne put the ball PERFECTLY in Marshall's hands... and Marshall out-and-out dropped it. That's not on Henne.

Anyway, was Henne perfect against the Texans? No, but I thought he had a solid game. Too bad Colombo got owned and caused an interception. That really changed the dynamic of the game.

Nothing is ever Hennes fault.  He is the only qb in the history of the NFL to feel pressure from the defense, or have a receiver not catch a ball.  Amazing how you guys always complain about how hennes numbers are only because of one drop, but never say anything about all the miracle catches that the receivers make for him.  The guy is a garbage qb.

There's 2 camps here:

Those who look at football realistically and are able to be objective

And

Those who hate Chad Henne.

I think we all can tell who's in which group.

I would take the dolphins receiving core over the broncos, and the broncos didn't play two of the worst nfl passing defenses like Henne did.

WEEK 4

Orton:

22/32..273 yards..68.8 %..8.53 av. 44 long..3 TD..3 INT..RATE:87.1

Henne:

3/4..27 yards. 75% completion..6.75 av..0 TD..1 INT..RATE: 53.1 (obviously injured)

SEASON:

Orton:

85/142..945yards..59.9% comp..6.66 av..8 TD..52 Long..6 INT..2 fumbles..RATE: 80.9

Henne:

64/112..868 yards..57.1 % comp..7.75 av..4 TD..41 long..4 INT..0 fumbles..RATE:79.0

Season is 25% over and neither is really more impressive than the other.  I personally am happy that this trade fell through.  We probably would've been out 2 drafts picks and invested a lot of money in a slightly better quarterback
