I'm actually encouraged by that game. Brady was perfect tonight and it didn't help that Smith and Vontae weren't on the field the whole 2nd half. Carroll was overmatched. But the offense did what they needed to do and moved the ball well. The defense will be better and if the offense can continue to play like that, it will be a fun year. Still don't see them much better than 8-8 or 9-7, but at least the games will be fun to watch again.

yes, they did tonight.  however polite was never the goalline guy.  out of his 42 one yard attempts, only 1 was at the goalline.

I'm not really pissed about cutting Polite... I'm pissed because we have no back up plan to if/when Clay got injured!

NE is not a smashmouth team either but they can line up and pound it for half a yd when they need to!
