I don't recall anyone predicting we would go 16-0 and I'm pretty sure no one picked us to go 15-1. In fact I remember a whole lot of 8-8s and less so why do so many people seem surprised we are having some issues getting going? I read through this board and you would think the 72 Dolphins' record was being pulled or something.

Why the panic from so many people when the season has just started and no one really thought we had a legitimate shot at making a deep run anyway? I don't get it. Take a couple of slow deep breaths through your nose, hold it, and then slowly let it our through your mouth. Lastly ... come in off of that ledge!

Well said....it gets old to see the same shit week after week from the same small group of posters. Trust us we know exactly how you feel about this team we have been reading it over, and over, and over, and over almost daily. I may not be thrilled about this team and every damn thing we have done in the last few years but good god everything is not doom and gloom......in fact it is pretty much what I expected it to be.

Heh Maine Fin Fan, I mean Sparano...sorry for pointing out the obvious. Have lived and died with this team for 3 decades now...mainly dying now.  Tough to be positive and upbeat when this past decade has basically been a disaster.  My patience has worn thin and I will continue to disagree with fans who see otherwise.  It's called freedom of speech and NOT being a dick.

Miami45 didn't you know if you disagree with the members of Sparano's fan club on this board you are  a "dick" oh and if you do not like what they are saying you should not post because that's just isn't right. You should be doing something else if you are upset with your team. I mean as a fan you are just supposed to blindly support whatever garbage is put in front of you.

Holy shit, you guys are ridiculous!  We know shit is bad.  We know Sparano is sucking as a coach.  We know draft picks have not panned out.  We know Henne has sucked in the past, but he has improved this season, if only because he hasn't thrown a bone headed pick this year yet (getting your arm hit when you throw is on the O line and trying to force something out of desperation doesn't equate bone headed).  We know our O line sucks.  We know Brandon Marshall is dropping the ball too much.  We know Reggie Bush isn't an every down back.  We know Ross is green as far as ownership goes.  We know Carpenter isn't performing like he should be.  WE KNOW ALL OF THIS SHIT!  So to repeat the same negative comments over and over and over and over AND OVER again is just making you come off like a whiny bitch.

I, knowing my teams downfalls right now, am still going to root for them like hell, and hope they can turn it around.  If they can't, then I'll be right there with all of you saying we need a new regime, but I sure as hell won't be making every damn post about it.

I'm only criticizing an overpaid useless coach, whom if fired, will still live quite comfortably and never have to work another day in his life.  My beef with this team mainly lies with him and his inability in his 4th season to actually make a difference and coach.

You, then attack and call me laughable or bitch, etc.  This only fuels my fire to expose him and ignorant fans like yourself of what really is transpiring in Miami: A rapidly sinking franchise falling to the bottom 5 of the NFL.....hmmm? weren't we already there a few years back?

What is it that you think most of us are not getting? We are not members of any Sparano fan club as was stated earlier.....we see that same shit, hell I think the guy is a fucking tool to be honest. We just chose not to post/bitch about it every fucking day....it gets old.....just like the Chad Henne hate!!!!!! The constant negativity around here is at an all time high and it is impossible to have a conversation without the general.....Chad Henne sucks balls comments, or the Sparano and Ireland need to be fired the minute they lose one game. It just gets old....... Huh

Hey AZ what the hell is your problem its a message board if someone wants to bitch they can if you do not like to borrow your advice do not read it. You are the one here fanning the flames calling other people dick, bitch, laughable, or whatever other derogatory term that makes you feel like a big man in front of your computer. I am still a fan and will always pull for my Dolphins that does not mean I have to like what I have seen happen to this once proud franchise.

wow what a freaking loser mentality of a fan base we have become...

all that nfl parity nonsense, handful of new teams that make the playoffs, churn in the division race, nah we couldn't possibly think the dolphins could actually be a part of any of that.

we'll take our 7-9, 8-8 mediocrity because we know how to set expectations real low around here. we knew they were going to lose these first games anyways

LOL Stinger in all honesty nothing in this thread was really even directed at you or  Miamid45 you two just happened to post here today....combined the two of you have accumulated as many posts as MikeO does in a single day so I really have nothing to say about you two as I don't know you or your posting trends. This was in response to something CF posted and really directed at the same group of members who participate daily and post the same useless negative shit day in and day out as you will see if you re-read my original post!!!!!

Call it what you like I think of it more as being a realist!!!!!! Would I like to see the team do better, hell yes but I do not have unreasonable expectations for it to happen overnight.

Trying to be level headed and will cease my calls for major changes.  Having worshipped this team for almost 30 years, this will be the first season that I will hope we lose out and draft a franchise QB.  With this, the major changes will be inevitable and a TRUE rebuilding process can finally begin.  Just hope our few bright young stars stay healthy and gain the experience to lead the future Dolphins to the promised land.

Jealousy Huh Huh

On the contrary, hate for anyone to lose their livelihood....EXCEPT when they are already financially sound.  In this case, Sparano's feelings are hurt, but his life will still continue in a comfortable manner.

Now this I can have a discussion with.  I haven't given up on the season just yet, but I'll play along.  IF we lose a bunch of games (meaning Henne played poorly, so he's out), then yea we really need to draft a QB.  Again, playing along, lets say we get anywhere from 3-6 wins (this is worst case scenario season for Miami IMO).

I really think that there will be a team that has worse than 3 wins this year that isn't Miami.  That means Luck is out of the picture.  Barkley is probably out too, but he's a maybe if we play that poorly.  Landry Jones is probably our pick if we suck out big time.  Personally, I'm not all the impressed with him...I think it's a big drop off from Luck and Barkley to Jones.  Maybe we can pull a Jets/Sanchez trade to get Barkley.  Nick Foles probably belongs in the second round...after that, there is a huge drop off.  It's hard to say this early in the college football season aside from Luck, Barkley and maybe Jones if this QB class will be any good.

Yes, I agree with you that I hope we can build on the young talent we have.  I'd include, of course, Long, then Pouncey, Vonte, Wake, Soliai, give Odrick a little more time, Langford, I personally like Sean Smith and think he's has the potential to be a super star if he gets his shit together, but understand whey people don't like him....than again, he has played well this season so far.  Hartline is good, put will never be great.  Daniel Thomas had a hell of a debut, but let's hope he keeps the fumbles down.

Basically this is the shit we have to think about in the future.  If we can pull of 10-11 wins, who is the weak link?  Who do we get rid of?  10-11 wins means Henne played good enough to get us there.  Do we draft a QB to possibly surpass Henne and get us to the Superbowl, or do we continue to stick with Henne and improve the rest of the team?

If we get anywhere from 3-8 wins that means Sparano is out and we get a new coach.  New coaches always want their own guy at QB.  Again, Luck is out of the picture, so that leaves us with Barkley, probably with a trade up, or Jones.

This is the realistic options for us.  As you all know, I'm a huge homer for this team, so I still think we have a good chance to do well this season aside from the losses.  But I'm no fool.  I look at other possible outcomes in the event we do poorly.  I'd advise others to do the same on this site so we can have an intelligent discussion with this team.

You think Miami won't do shit this year?  Fine, that's your opinion.  What should they do coaching wise to fix it?  Can't coach it up?  Who should replace Sparano?  Who should we draft to fix our problems?  Whose going to be out there in free agency next year to fill some gaps?  Instead of complaining and being depressing, do some research and come up with an intelligent opinion on how YOU think we can fix the problem.  Saying "this guy sucks," and "that guys sucks" and them when they suck saying, "yo I CALLED IT!" doesn't prove anything.  "This guy sucks"...ok....how do you think we can improve the team?  Who should replace the guy who "sucks"?  These are the questions and answers we should be asking.
