While many feel that Cowher won't make a difference for the Fins, there's one area that he will make a difference for the players and that is: RESPECT>

As a player, who respects the 2 bumbling idiots driving the bus?  No one, what have Ireland and Sparano ever acheived, both as players and coaches/gm....exactly...NOTHING!

By the way, I'm all for riding out this wasted season and taking our time in deciding who the new GM and Coach will be.

People close to the Fins believe Miami won't hire a big-name coach. That our next coach will be Nolan or Bowles. And that Ireland/Ross have a tight bond that hasn't been broken. They are buddy-buddy. Armando on his radio show every morning says nobody around the league respects Ross and you won't get a big-time guy to work for him. Take it for what its worth, its Armando but usually where there is smoke there is fire.

I want to clean house as much as the next guy, but I'm not sold on anything huge happening.

I agree. Would rather- at this point- go 2-14 with what we have and get a better draft pick than have people rally around a new coach, win 5 games, and our pick drop somewhere out of the top 5 or 6. -EK
