This is something that we'd hoped for at the beginning of the year, that the defense was going to be pretty good, and we'd hope for some improvement from the offense.  It started looking that way, with Henne playing better, but the defense was a turd out of the gate.  I wonder what happened?  Which is the true Dolphin defense?  The one that sucked to start the season, or the one shutting teams down now?

This also leads us to thinking about next year...does our defense need big changes?

Couple things in response....

1) Henne wasn't playing better. He is out for the year so not worth harping on it but he as bad if not worse than last year. This notion he improved is silly. He had a good opening drive on opening night after that it was all downhill and he sucked.

2) GOING FORWARD.. Miami needs to get YOUNGER on offense  (at both guards, RT, TE, and QB) and get more athletic on offense.  And the Fins need to get OLDER on defense (more experience in the secondary and a vet pass rusher). You can't fix all those problems in one offseason of course. But that's the blueprint as of today. Make a nice dent in it this offseason and hopefully polish off the job the following offseason.

Yes do they have gas in the tank for the cowboys. I am hoping so 12 quarters without allowing a td thats 3 games of D....And our offense is looking good I am giving Matt Moore props.Didn't like him Didn't want him GLAD HE IS HERE.

A lot of people deserve game balls for this nice win. Defensively we have shut teams down for 12 quarters and not allowed a TD. I wish they would have started the season this way but it is nice to see our defense finally come around. Offensively Moore has been very careful with the ball and making wise decisions. Yesterday his accuracy and leadership showed so he gets my gameball for the victory over the Bills.

Matt Moore..when you have a QB rating of 133, you played a hell of a game.

Honorable Mentions to Charles Clay and Yeremiah Bell..Bell actually looked like a ball hawking safety yesterday and Clay has really come into his own over the last few weeks.

Matt Moore.  Did a good job spreading the ball around.  Moved well in the pocket.

Gas in the tank isn't what I'm worried about.  We saw what NE did with the multiple WR sets and Dallas has the best recieving TE in football and a premier WR in Miles Austin.

If we can get to Tony Romo like we got to these other QB's we'll throttle Dallas.  But this is gonna be a test.

I agree that Dallas' TE is good, but at best he's the thrid best TE in football. Gronkowski and Graham are heads and shoulders better. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves on that. -EK
