This is mainly pointed towards those of us that were pulling for losses to get Andrew Luck.  Now that it appears that we're pretty much out of the running, do you still find yourself rooting against us?  I don't.  I mean, I don't really feel too invested either way, but winning does feel good, now that I've kinda accepted the fact that we're not getting Luck (at least without trading).  Since I don't have such a romantic outlook of any of these other QBs available (though I'm sure that there are good players out there), I find myself not hoping for losses.

3 wins heading into Thanksgiving. No chance of making the playoffs... hate to say it but gotta root for them to lose.  We are gonna play ourselves out of getting a QB and end up drafting a RG at pick #11 or something.

Never will I root for my team in any sport no matter how bad they are to lose.  To me that's no different from tanking and it's one of the most dishonorable things somebody can do as far as being a fan.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to take a step forward. Foregoing short term gratification for long term is sometimes necessary. I was rooting for Miami to go 1-15(though not 0-16), so that we can draft a QB or blowup the organization. They did and it led to that great 11-5 season.

I am hoping for the same this year. Even if Miami wins out, they probably don't make the playoffs at 9-7. So, what's the point?

I never wanted to see the Dolphins lose.  Getting Luck would've been nice, but you never root for your team to throw games for that.

I'd still like to see the Dolphins get a blue chip QB prospect in the first round.  If they're not in a position to do so outright, spend whatever it takes to move up.

I'm still amazed that people consider "rooting to lose" the same as "wanting your team to throw games."  Is "rooting to win" the same as "wanting your team to cheat the salary cap?"

As to the poll options, I'd like to suggest a fourth:

I don't care anymore.

At 0-5 I gave up on the playoffs, but I still had a rooting interest each week; something to look forward to and hope for.  Now I don't even have that.  I simply don't care at all what happens each week (other than an NYJ loss).  I'm waiting for the offseason.

I never WANTED us to lose, but I was able to accept that losing wasn't necessarially the worst outcome of a game.

In that sense, we need to continue winning where we can, asess the talent and build confidence for next season. At the end of the season we'll draft where we draft and we can't influence other teams results at all. We can't change the whole roster, and we clearly aren't the worst team in the league, where do we need to improve and how can we do that.

Yes we want a franchise QB to lead us to future glory, but our draft position doesn't reflect that right now so we have to accept that the top 3 QB's will probably pass us and the others will be a reach so we need to be even more certain where we need to upgrade with our 1st round pick.

There is a chance of course we are banking on other teams but I think if we win out we make the playoffs. The afc is looking like a turd. Its not that we won but every week we look better at winning.GO DOLPHINS

Yeah I still hope to lose but I can't help but root for them to win. It's silly for them to keep winning when they need a franchise quarterback.

I never want to see the Phins lose, im not to sold as getting a QB in the first round unles he is like Ultimate spectacular , i dont see that from Luck. Granted when he makes his pro -debut he may turn heads we dont know that for sure.

being 1-15 is one thing.  Trying purposely to go 1-15 is another.

Does it even matter at this point? The handful of meaningless wins have probably already ensured at least 5 more years of mediocrity experimenting with 3-5 dif QBs.

This team is not winning out. We have 3 wins heading into Thanksgiving now they are gonna win out? Because they beat up on a bad KC and Washington team. Then beat an injured Bills team. It's not gonna happen.

The way I see it, Miami is 3-0 since I quit rooting for them to win, I'm not changing a thing!  Evil

I am still hoping for a top 5 or at worst 7 pick this year.  It would make a trade more appealing to move up to #1, or at least if IND/STL decide to pass on a QB we can get in the mix.

All hope for Luck is not lost.

If we get to around 5 wins I will start to give up on my hopes and accept any wins with more enthusiasm.  At that point, I can live with one of the other draft QBs and let them sit behind Moore for a while.  Once I got to rewatch the Bills game up close (on TV), I was really impressed by how in command Moore was.  He looked very enthused and really took control of all the presnap stuff.  If by some miracle we got to 8-8 or 9-7, I would have no choice but to look at him as a potential long term solution.  But that is an awefully big if!  It appears that Moore could be quite adequate as a budget QB with a great defense, special teams and O-line.  I could handle that as a reasonable winning solution.
