Henne in 4 games: 63 of 109 for 860, 4 TD's and 3 INT's. 57.8% complete, 3.7% TD, 2.8% INT rate. 7.9 yards per attempt

Henne ran 13 times for 113 yards for 8.7 yards per attempt and a TD and sacked 11 times for 67 yards for 8.3% sack rate and 6.1 yards per sack.

Moore in 8 games: 133 of 212 for 1561, 8 TD's and 6 INT's. 62.7% complete, 3.8% TD, 2.8% INT rate. 7.4 yards per attempt.

Moore has run 12 times for 60 yards for 6.0 yards per attempt and a TD and sacked 24 times for 151 yards for 9.8% sack rate and 6.3 yards per sack.

Moore has also shown an alarming tendancy to fumble having fumbled 9 times already. Henne only fumbled once.

So essentially from a statistical standpoint they're almost identical.

^^Yes.  But I think the feeling surrounding the 2 is completely different. I'm get the feeling that many feel like Henne is washed up and will never play in this league again and that Moore has a future if not with the Dolphins, someone else.

That's what winning a few games will do Wink

Seriously, though, any objective look at them reveals that they're about the same... below average NFL quarterbacks with, perhaps, the potential to become above average NFL quarterbacks. Nothing to get excited about either way.

People made a decision about Henne 2 years ago, and there's no changing their minds.

Henne could have a season of 4500 yards and 40 TD's with 5 INT's and people would whine about the 5 INT's.

Henne could never have a season like that.  He willl be lucky if he has 10 more NFL starts.  He is a loser.

Not true.  Fans tend to go with the success.  I know one person spent quite a bit of money on a signed Brady jerseys that a few years before buying it wrote letter to Kraft demanding BB be fired when BB started Brady over a healthy Bledsoe.

Current success will forgive past failures.

Brady didn't have much failure as they won the Super Bowl in the season he took over for Bledsoe. Sounds more like your buddy just had it wrong.

I'd like to see Moore back next year, I think he's a solid backup; and he could start at the begining of the season to give the new rookie QB a little extra learning time.  Henne did improve this year, but he just seems to get injured too easily.

I'd like to see both Moore and Henne back next year to compete for starter.   Just think what Henne's numbers would be had he been around for the second half of the season where his receivers learnt how to catch a ball,  his offensive line figured out how to pass block, Dabol learnt what to do with bush..  People have to learn that there is a whole team out there, 1 person cannot do everything!!!!  Henne made huge strides this year and mark my words if he doesn't come back next year he will be a player that we will wish we didn't let go.

Someone PLEASE tell me where these "huge" strides Henne made were?  I know I enjoy several beers every Sunday, but I don't think I got blackout drunk and missed Henne's "drastic" improvement..

Not true at all. Players play good they get praise. They play bad they get ripped.

Henne has played poorly for a long time. He didn't get praise. Not that confusing.

This was the first game I was able to watch him. Does he ever run? There were at least a couple of plays where he could have easily run for a first down or more but chose to throw bad passes instead.

He actually had a wide open end zone in Q4 V Dallas as well (we settled for a FG).
