Bush @ 770 yds, Thomas (with ltd action) @ 508 vs. Ronnie "Dancing" Brown @ 71 and Ricky Williams @ 351 - one of the better moves the Dolphins have made in recent years.

daniel thomas is averaging 3.6 ypc over 140 carries, reggie has 4.6 ypa over 169 carries, and ricky is at 3.9 over 89 attempts.  Why you would put limited action with daniel thomas when he has just 29 less attempts than the leading rushing and a lot more than ricky williams.  Daniel thomas has exactly been good with only 3.6 ypa.

Thomas has been injured and is a rookie who had a short training camp. Thomas has a lot of promise. He reminds me of a young Mendenhall

since when do rookie running backs need time to contribute?

Picking up "blitz pick-up's". If you can't, you don't see the field. Having a short camp and little time to learn the blocking assignments was hurtful to Thomas. On top of all of his injuries

but really he kind of sucks..  his ypa is 48th out of 52 of people with 80 or more carries.

this whole offense kinda sucks. Wouldn't write a rookie's obit playing on this unit with no QB and no coaching. The kid was hampered with nagging injuries all year and he had a couple VERY big games early on. Thomas is for real and has a bright future

The offense needs some work, but I'm torn.  Had the defense made a couple stops at the end of a few games the team has two or three more wins, and are in the playoff hunt.  Then you consider you have a new OC, new rookie starting center, new RB's, starting QB goes out injured and you have a back-up that was not previously with the Fins, all on top of a shortened pre-season...and you have a recipe for disaster.  So, I think it's hard to make snap judgements about the current offense,  I think it is an improvement over the 2010 version.

The current offense has zero playmakers that put fear in opponents. Marshall is the closest thing to one and he drops a ton of balls and isn't a "big play" threat. Marshall gets no "YAC" or "CHUNK" yards. Miami needs an explosive player on offense and a QB.

Bush is a nice player but he is a glorified 3rd down back who is forced to be an every down back. You can't line him up on every down on offense. Miami needs more speed on offense and of course a legit QB who keep opponents  (real opponents not the other bottom feeders of the league) honest.

The QB/OFFENSE is about 3/4 of Miami's problem when it comes to actual players who play. Special teams is fine the defense isn't far off.

Hartline can get deep and deliver "Chunk" yards. Gates is supposed to have that ability too he just doesn't see the field much. Even Clay seems like he's got a knack for getting behind a defense.

Seems like that's exactly what Miami did this year and he's responded with his best year as a pro.  Bush and Thomas complement each other well I think.

They don't need more speed. They do need a dynamic QB who can get the ball to the players they have in a position to make plays and a better offensive right tackle that will allow the QB time in the pocket to find the playmakers.

This team has the talent for the most part. They need a coach and a franchise QB.

Hartline isn't a starting WR on a "decent" team though. Nice player who will always have a job in this league, not a guy who is starting on a legit NFL team though. He is a quality role player WR.

I agree, a real coach and real QB and Miami is in the playoffs most years if not consistently. This team is flawed but a quality QB and head coach fixes alot. A real lot!

Yeah, barring injury, today sealed it for Reggie.

His previous best was 581 yards in 157 attempts. Before today, he has 770 yards in 169 attempts. Now, it's 973 in 194 attempts (5.0 yards per attempt).

I'll admit, I didn't think it would be possible at the start if the season. Like Tebow, he has made me a believer. Good job Reggie.

Unless he gets seriously hurt early in the next game, I can't see how he doesn't get it.
