What if?.......We could acquire Manning, with let's say our #1 pick or hell even our whole draft?

Would you do this and once Manning was a Fin, could we lure a Tony Dungy back to Florida for another Super Bowl run, especially after signing Reggie Wayne as our FA prize.

Would the pieces be there...would we have the cap room?

Any thoughts...probably will get lambasted for this dream, but with the past few horrible seasons fresh on my memory, it doesn't hurt to dream, does it?

Imagine:

Manning
Bush
Thomas
Marshall
Wayne

...an offence to rival the Pats, but with a defence superior to the Pats.  Dungy -vs Belichek...wouldn't Miami football rock next season?

Nobody has to trade for Manning. He will be a FA! Indy can't trade him. They either pay him $28 mill  which is due before the league year starts or they cut him before the league year starts. Trading can only happen ONCE the league year starts so it is NOT even an option.

I'm probably one of the few on here that wants P. Manning.  All you have to do is look at the 2011 Colts and see what a game changer this guy is.  I heard today that Manning is "throwing", it will be interesting to see what Indy does.

I'd take Peyton in a heartbeat until we can find the right QB.

I don't like the Manning, Wayne idea one bit!

Bring Manning here for what one or two maybe three yrs and we're right back to post Marino era Dolphins... trying to find another franchise QB! Huh

I like Manning and Wayne but both are towards the twilight of their careers... I'd like to see RG3 here but doubt that happens.

I do like the idea of Tony Dungy though! Grin

I can't say I like any choice as our next coach other than Dungy or Cower...  I'm not sold on Fisher.

Dream? Not hardly. I have no desire to see a 36-year-old QB who has been hurt the past two seasons. The guy had a cervical fusion of one joint, which also means he had an intervertebral disc removed with the fusion. That's not like scoping a knee or even repairing a labrum or ACL/MCL tear. That's major surgery. No chance he's the same QB he was slinging the ball all over Indy. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. -EK

I wouldn't trade a Kit-Kat for Manning.  ...much less a 1st round pick.  ...much, much less an entire draft.

Kit-Kats might be the most underrated candy

Peyton Manning will NEVER EVER EVER play for the Miami Dolphins. EVER. Period.

Is that clear enough for you guys?

It's not even known at this point if he will even play again, period.

In case you missed it:

Never say never....(jtex)

Anyone ever thought it possible for Montana or Favre to leave their teams?

Indy will go the route ala Green Bay, drafting Luck and unloading Manning...maybe not next season, but it will happen.
