He may leave his team, and don't get me wrong I would have loved to have him in a Dolphin uniform, but the odds on what you speak of are low and I don't want Manning to risk his image much the same as Unitas did by putting on that San Diego uniform.

No way do you sacrifice the no. 1 pick or rest of you draft for a QB with a bad neck.

Never say never....(jtex)

Anyone ever thought it possible for Montana or Favre to leave their teams?

Indy will go the route ala Green Bay, drafting Luck and unloading Manning...maybe not next season, but it will happen.

Never.

There are 15 other teams that Peyton Manning would play for before playing for Miami.

But the question is will those other 15 teams ask Manning to play for them?

I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton come to Miami.

1.  I think he is washed up.

2. Brady vs. Manning twice a year would be fun.

BTW here is a name none of you have bounced around.

Drew Brees is a FA.  If I was a GM of a poorly QBed team, that is the player I would be targeting, not Manning.

Or Alex Smith of SF.

Another good option would be Matt Flynn, back up for the Packers.  In his one game as a starter he looked very good against NE.

You don't think Brees will be franchise tagged if the Saints can't work something out! Hello!

Drew Brees will never see the light of FA day.

I would take Manning any day of the week.  Anyone who says different is smoking crack.

I seem to recall the "Montana will never play for another team" talk at one time as well.  Funny how things change.

The QB who finishes his career with one team is a rare beast.  Hasselbeck, McNabb, Favre, McNair, Warner, and Bledsoe are all recent examples of franchise, Super Bowl QBs that were sent packing.

I also remember that, and I wouldn't be shocked if Manning showed up in another uniform, but it's not going to be aqua and not-orange.

He has stated he won't sign it.

While no doubt he would be tagged.  Open question as to whether it would be exclusive or non-exclusive.  If non-exclusive he has the right to negotiate with other teams, if he is willing to do a long term deal he is worth 2 first.

Drew Brees will  be playing for the Saints for a long time. I find it almost impossible he won't. They will match any deal when forced.

Miami would pass on Drew Brees a third time.  No doubt in my mind.

Montana, Bledsoe, Warner, Favre, etc all aren't ever going to play for different team either.
