Not looking good for Jtex and the Henne prediction either.

At this point Ross and Irelend have failed to get every single person they have set their sights on. Say what you will about the Dolphins we have become very consistsant since Ross took over. Our suckiness is so bad no one even wants to come anymore.

I recall Ross admitting that he hadn't done a good enough job initially (this was after the Harbough snafu) and hadn't understood how the NFL worked. Well, weren't Ireland (and Parcells) supposed to help him? And where's Ireland's mea culpa for screwing up on basically every single thing since taking over completely from Parcells?

I know Ross seems to like Ireland -- and that Ireland apparently has (or had) a lot of respect around the league -- but I cannot imagine that Ireland stays if the 2012 Dolphins bomb. Yes, there's a new HC, but Ireland can't keep getting free passes.

Ross has to be pissed about the "no one wants to play in Miami", "no respect for those running the show" etc. comments that seem to come up with increasing frequency whenever Miami is mentioned. Philbin just got here, so he can't just fire the coach. Seems like the only move he CAN make (other than selling the team) is to fire Ireland.

I really wouldn't be surprised to see Philbin resign within the next few days

If it was Marty, Norv, or even the Tuna, I might agree.  However, this is Philbin's first head coaching job.  If he bails before a game is played, he's effectively eliminating himself from all head coaching possibilities ever.

You can recover from a crappy job as a head coach; just ask Wade Phillips, Wanny, or hell, Belichick.

Joe made six, that's right 6 predictions in this thread.  Time to judge his prognositic skills.

1. Dolphins hire Eric Mangini or Lane Kiffin or Rob Ryan as head coach.

WRONG

2) Henne resigned;

WRONG

3) Matt Moore traded;

Could still happen.

4) JP Losman promoted.

WRONG

5) Dolphins trade up to the #4 pick;

WRONG

6) Dolphins draft a WR with said pick.

WRONG

Maybe the title of the thread should be "Jtex is inept."

Add losing Fisher because of his Ireland love to the list.

A blessing in disguise Grin

I agree losing out on Fisher was a blessing. He is the most overrated HC in the league right now.
