Ireland and Sparano. Everybody could see what an abortion Henne is, yet these two dumbasses stuck w/ him and wasted another year.

Sparano. For not having his team ready to play when the season started. If they are ready to play to start the season we beat Cleveland easily. If Moore is ready to play the moment that Henne goes down we would have beaten Denver easily.  It wouldn't have been enough to get them to the playoffs, but it would have been enough to get to .500 and competing for a shot at the playoffs which is where they should have been.  The last half of the season proved this team has enough to be a decent team, but it can't take 8 weeks for it to come together. This has really been Miami's problem all along under Sparano except for 2008. In 2009 and 2010 they were not ready to play playoff type football at the end of the year and it showed. You have to ratchet it up the last 3 games of the season and they were in cruise control. In 2011 it was the beginning of the year. Perhaps it was due to the short preseason, but that's no excuse. You have to be able to get your team ready to play regardless of the circumstances.

Sparano.  HM to Ross for not firing him when he had the chance in the offseason.  It was quite clear from training camp, Sparano wasn't the guy.

P.S. I don't want to derail this thread, but just felt like it had to be said.  Grin

P.P.S. Has to go to Sparano for the 0-7 start.

It's amazing how at 6-10 Miami was still only a couple wins away from "being in the hunt" for the playoffs.  They are better than Denver and Cinci.  I dare say Miami is better than the Steelers -- right now.  Shit rolls down hill.  Mine goes to Ireland and Tony.

Vontae Davis and Sean Smith.

I bought into the hype coming into the year and was expecting us to have one of the more prolific secondaries in the league.  They sucked in comparison to expectations IMO.

I'm giving this to Stephen Ross, this bumbling idiot of an owner because of the following:

- Goes after Jim Harbaugh and fails to land him because he didn't fire Sparano, creating tension on the sidelines.

- Allows Sparano to hire Brian Daboll when there were more qualified candidates out there for offensive coordinator.  New look but same old problem.  Failed to score touchdowns consistently from the red zone.

The Dolphins start 0-7, eliminate themselves from playoff contention by OCTOBER, and THEN suddenly decide to start winning.

During the 0-7 start, Ross basically honors the opposing team's starting QB for his college achievements.

Waiting until they were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs to fire Sparano

Winning their finale with two field goals on drives totaling 12 yards and a 12 minute drive for their only touchdown.  Not to mention a draft pick who was cut for sucking (Turner) could contribute just as much for the opponent as any of Ireland's current draftees.

Now, Ireland is still the GM, and a reputable coach will not come here.
