I agree, in principle.  If you draft a player thinking he is good and you realize in camp he isn't as good as he thought, you don't use him.

But if you draft a player in the top 10 spots in April and he doesn't play in Sept you are forced to eat a lot of crow.  That is why the Jets kept Gholston for so long despite being crap.

There only two teams in the NFL will enough balls to not play a top 10 pick -- New England Patriots and the Pittsburg Steelers.  I doubt whoever your next year rookie head coach is will add the Dolphins to that list.

If it happens to be Fisher, he'd do it in a heartbeat. He didn't want to play Vince Young.

But he was forced to anyway.

And ultimately his and Mike Reinfeldt disagreement over Young is in large part why he is unemployed.  One of them needed to go.

If the Dolphins decide to hire a coach and then draft a QB in the first round that the coach hates, than I can limit my worries to the Jets and Bills for the AFCE race next year.

But it took awhile and he was the 3rd overall pick. That's a lot different from the 8th or 9th pick.

He doesn't have to hate him to decide to start Moore next year week 1.  Moore played pretty well the 2nd half of the year. There's no reason to force your rookie QB into the position. Let it come to him naturally.

Some people are now reporting that RG3 is reconsidering staying another year, based on the fact that he only needs 12 hours to complete his Master's degree, which would likely leave 6'5" 240 pound Arizona QB Nick Foles as the highest rated passer after Luck. Interesting.... -EK
