@Mortreport
Tony Sparano has been first in line for Jets in event of this move, per league sources. Expect an announcement by Wednesday. #Jets #NFL32

With Bill Callahan to Cowboys & Brian Schottenheimer leaving, next anticipated #Jets move is hiring former Dolphins coach Tony Sparano as OC

@JasonLaCanfora
Jets plan to hire Tony Sparano as offensive coordinator with Brian Schottenheimer leaving. Schottenheimer exploring other options

Somehow, I doubt this will elicit the same reaction as when JT signed with the Jets.

I give it about 3 games before Jets fans wish they had Schottenheimer back.

A bit surprised nobody posted about the rumors yet.  Any thoughts?

I know that it will be an instant hate fest for any former Dolphin who joins up with the Jets, but I am more concerned about the impact on us and in our division.

Sparano can get the "ground and pound back".  With that defense, I think it spells a bit of trouble for us.  They are also talking about Todd Haley going to the Jets with him as a QB coach or something.  That would be a pretty solid combo to get an offense going if you ask me.

On a side note, I wonder if we will see Sparano fist pumping for field goals like he did in Miami.  I wouldn't pull that crap in New York if I were him.  They don't want field goals up there and the fan base/media will show no mercy.

All this means to me is that, if Sparano gets the NYJ OC job, I bump the Jets placekicker up about 3 spots in my fantasy rankings. Not that I would ever draft a kicker before the last round anyway, but Folk...or Novack...or whoever will be kicking for the Jets should get more FG attempts than they would under Schottenheimer.

Can they sign Ireland and Ross too?

Schoty is going to Alabama reports are to work with Saban. Good luck with that Brian! Better hope another job offer comes so you don't have to take that assignment. If you thought Rex was tough on ya wait till the first time you piss off Saban

Depends on what the draft board looks like.  If a lot of defenses are already gone, and there won't be much of a big drop off by waiting, kicker in second to last round, defense in last round can make sense.
