I got this idea from a post I saw on Reddit.  What are things that people might not know about/use, but that they should discover/own.

The one example on Reddit was a tongue scraper.  I got one as part of a pack-in with a toothbrush, and I agree -- it's great.  It significantly improves your breath and gives you an overall cleaner mouth.  You can brush your teeth (and tongue) and then still scrape a bunch of nasty, yellow gunk off your tongue that's filled with who knows what and bacteria.

Other good ones I saw or would like to add:
- Lint roller
- Q-tips (I didn't use them regularly until I met my wife, who always had them on hand)
- Eye Wash (I bought one for .99 at a Pharmacy and used it 10-20 times in the next 5 years.   You wouldn't think you'd need it, but when you get a grain of sand in your eye, it's awesome to have available.)

Wet wipes - I have a lemon pack I picked up for like a $1 or $2 for generics, and I keep them in the truck.I find them incredibly handy in a pinch.
Craft Pipe Cleaners- From cleaning tea stains out of the crevices of my tea jugs,to getting something that I've dropped down the bathroom sink drain,to using it like a garbage /Zip tie in a pinch. Narrow,bendable,shape-able I find new uses for them all the time. The $1 store has bags of like 100 for $1

Baby wipes are awesome. I have a bunch as a crafter, they're great for ink, paint and a whole bunch of other things.

As a girl - bobby pins. Love them.

Cheap fasteners:

roll of duct tape
small tube of super glue
bag of various-sized rubber bands

1987 Jeep Wagoneer: it cost me $500.00, and it's given me nothing but performance and value. (About to tick over 300k miles on it.) Can't beat it.

Cat litter:  Even if you don't have a cat this stuff is useful.  Great for when you're changing your oil and spill some on the driveway...pour some litter over the oil spot, and poof!  It absorbs the oil.

Qtips? I thought everyone used them regularly until I met my wife. I clean my ears with qtips every other day. She has another method for cleaning her ears. I never asked her what that was because the feel of qtips cleaning the ears is almost orgasmic. lol

I remember a comedian who made much of his routine around this fact.

my ear doctor said q-tips are really bad for your ear and he said people should not use them, but it's a pain in the ass to clean your ears without them!

Mine too. I actually had an incident where I couldn't hear. I went to the doctor and he told me to NEVER stick anything like that in my ear.

If cleaning your ears causes you pain in your derriere, you are doing is seriously wrong.

Funny, I have been using Q-tips for 20+ years and never have lost hearing or had a problem.  I must be awesome at ear-cleaning.
