I don't think this deal is possible because of the cap, but it's interesting to think about.  Freeney and Wake on the DL could be nice in the new 4-3.

The article also talks about how Dallas Clark may be for sale, too.  I'd love to see the good Colts have a reunion in Miami.

Sounds like the Colts are going to completely gut their team and rebuild.

Anyone else feel like we're jinxing Peyton coming to Miami with all these hypotheticals?

That's certainly what you call cleaning house. Hopefully Andrew Luck will have some weapons to work with or his rookie season may not go so well.

I have said from day 1 give me Peyton or Flynn, I really don't care which one. I like that Peyton is moving this along quickly so if he decides to go elsewhere that Miami will be in play for Flynn. I appreciate Peyton for doing that.

Denver scares me in that they have a ton of cap room in which they could sign if they wanted too Peyton, Wayne, Garcon, and Saturday and bring in the whole damn crew. Miami can't do that.

Gun to my head I still think Miami lands him. Old saying. "HAPPY WIFE-HAPPY LIFE" and from reports his wife loves the South Florida area.

Hopefully Peyton is using Denver to drive up Miami's price. Usually Miami is the one being used maybe this time its the other way around.

Assuming Dallas Clark is healthy the Dolphins should be all over that. Whether the Fins get Peyton or not.

Clark is EXACTLY the type of TE they need!

Can't agree with you more on that one. That alone, takes pressure off of Marshall. Which means more opportunities for #19.

What's the matter with you people? Clark's gonna break the bank and he's missed 16 games over the past two seasons. Go for Wayne, and let Charles Clay develop at TE. Amazing that so many people are afraid of Peyton's injuries, when Clark has had one- count it, ONE- 1000 yard season three years ago and been injured more than not ever since. -EK

I see what you're saying, but I think you have your standard for TE's a little off.  I could be wrong but, 1,000 yards receiving isn't completely expected from a TE.  If a TE has around 700 yards..he had a great year.  For arguments sake, Tony Gonzalez is considered the one of the greatest Tight Ends ever and he's past 1,000 yards only 4 times in 16 years

Exactly. Expecting 1,000 yards out of your tight end on a consistent basis is foolish. It doesn't happen in this league! Clark (assuming he is healthy) has sure hands, can stretch the field, and is a match-up nightmare for opponents.

LOL

There used to be a Miami Seahawks team that was part of the AAFL (which included the Colts and 49ers) in the late 40s.  The Miami franchise moved to Baltimore in 1947.  It only seems natural to acquire as many Colts as possible.

I think Clark is damaged goods at this point.
