Adam Schefter reported Mario Manningham will visit with Miami, SF, and Buffalo (not in any special order)

I like him more than most I admit, so I would like bringing him in.  I am a big fan of his. I think he is a really good player. Is he a true #1, right now probably not. But an above average #2 and in the right system maybe a borderline #1 WR.

I probably don't like him as much as you, but agree with your assessment.  I think my issue is that he will never be #1 caliber.  I do think we could live with him and someone of equal talent across from him.

Replacing Marshall's production (pure stats and numbers, not counting drops and off the field stuff) will be a 2 person job. Short of adding Mike Wallace, it will take 2 guys to get those numbers. Manningham would be a step in the right direction and pick up the bulk of the production in my opnion

In all fairness, replacing Marshall's production in those two categories will also be (at least) a two-person job.

Mario Manningham signs with SF. Never made that trip to Miami.

Heard this on Fox Sports Radio last night.  Shortly after the signing was announced, a frustrated Dolphins fan called in (maybe one of us).  The host was saying what we all know and fear, that Ross and Ireland are not respected in league circles and as a result, no big name free agents will want to go to Miami.

As for Manningham going to the Niners, let's just say it looks like they are doing everything they can to get Peyton Manning to go there.

Edited to update:  Found this article by Dave Hyde.  Also reiterates what Dolphins fans know.
