Michael Lombardi on NFL Network said Miami is lukewarm on Flynn. They might trade up to #3 ahead of Cleveland to draft Ryan Tannehill

Lombardi says Cleveland has no interest in Flynn and is all over Tannehill.

Can we just accept Matt Moore as the starter for next year and then figure it out again next year?

Seriously trade up to take Tannehill at #3?!?!?!?!

That make the Marshall trade look like the best thing ever

A lot can still happen, free agency only 1 day old. But with the Soliai and Merling re-signing it tells me Miami is solidifying the defense and blowing up the offense. And will draft a QB and build around him through the draft. With young playmakers and such. Much like what Cincy did with Dalton last year. Out with TO and Ochocinco (and eventually Palmer). Draft AJ Green and Dalton and start over.

Now this could all change 5 min after I post this with news Miami signs Flynn, Manningham, Winston or goes and spends big bucks on an offensive player. But as of now from the way they are doing things it looks like it blowing up the offense and rebuilding it through the draft.

Why is no one talking Brandon Lloyd? I'd take him over Manningham every day of the week!! -EK

Wow, never thought of it like that.  Great point, and I hope you're right.  The only downfall is the whole "trade up for Tannehill" part.  I feel like that' might be way too much of a risk..but what do I know?

Here is the scary thought.....

Manning to Denver or Tenn
Flynn to Seattle
Tannehill to Cleveland
Orton and Campbell are already off the board

Miami is forced to start Matt Moore for a year. He is in the final year of his contract. He is just good enough where Miami wins 5 or 6 games and can't draft Matt Barkley next year and the team picking #1 won't trade out of the spot. OR the opposite, he is good enough they win 8 or 9 games, flirt with the playoffs  and Miami is forced to franchise him and overpay his ass to keep him from entering free agency because they are still unable to find anyone else to play QB. Don't laugh, would it totally shock you?

I think you have to roll the dice with Flynn.....to keep from chugging along with the Matt Moores and Chad Hennes of the world (basically perennial backups).

The move up to number 3 is the other route....isn't that Minnys pick?

....and finally maybe Manning changes his mind....

Looking over Tannehill's stats last year the scary thing is take away the Baylor game  (and Baylor had a god awful defense) vs most good teams he played last year he threw more INT's than TD's. And Tannehill padded his stats vs the bad teams. Vs Oklahoma St (2 TD's and 3 INT's) vs Texas (2 TD's and 3 INT's) vs Oklahoma (2 TD's and 3 INT's) vs Arkansas (0 TD's and 1 INT). The ONLY good game vs a GOOD team he played was vs K-State and his team LOST that game!

And that was in the BIG 12 which is the new version of the WAC where nobody plays defense anymore. For those who don't follow college football the Big 12 is like the Arena league, points points and more points!

Matt Schaub played 3 and he turned out OK. Farve played little in Atlanta and he turned out OK. Hasselbeck the same before going to Seattle. Kurt Warner was bagging groceries!  Flynn is sitting behind a legend, he shouldn't be punished or be thought of as no good because of that. Not his fault a super bowl champ and future HOF player is ahead of him on the depth chart!

Henne just signed with Jax. Seattle liked Henne.

Meaning Seattle and Miami for Flynn. Flynn flying to Seattle right now.

Miami looks like they might be left stuck with Matt Moore and in the 2013 Matt Barkley sweepstakes!
