While everyone is busy crucifying Ross, Ireland, Sparano, and everyone except the players, am I the only person here who believes the players on field simply aren't as good as Miami fans believe they are? There's a reason that the "big name" guys Miami has playing were often cast-offs from other team: they weren't that freaking good anymore, or they never were. NO didn't seem to lose a step AT ALL when they traded Bush and picked up Sproles. Arizona and SD both won more games than Miami despite losing two of their "best" defensive players to the Phins. Jimmy Clausen was kept OVER Matt Moore in Carolina. Doesn't that say something? I realize you can't just junk the entire team and start over, but isn't it about time some fingers are pointed at the product on the field, not the celebrity owners or orange carpet or management? -EK

You left off a glaring name in your list of underperforming, not as good as we think players.

Call me crazy but isn't Ireland responsible for the players we have? It's his job to get winning players so they ultumately fall on his shoulders.

Assumably he is on year three as Bill quit during the second season didn't he? He's been the GM for four years but supposedly Bill was making the calls until he got bored. I have a hard time believing he isn't somewhat responsible just the same as those who assume he had no say.
