It has EVERYTHING to do with defense. I get that, for some reason, you truly and honestly believe that being 6th in points allowed is some sort of achievement when your team as a whole goes 6-10.

Yeah because the offense sucks!

Blame the offense for field position all you want, but the D is what should be keeping people out of the end zone at least once in a while. -EK
Not when the offense lets the opponent start at the 2 yard line or inside the 15 yard line on a somwehat consistent basis.

I can see it now.

Rex:  ALRIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS, IT'S TIME TO GO PLAY SOME FUCKING FOOTBALL!!!  TEBOW, YOU THROW THAT FUCKING BALL LIKE YOU'RE SLINGING SHIT OFF YOUR FUCKING HAND!!!!

Tebow:  Please don't speak that way to me, coach.  It is very offensive to me and the Lord God.

REX: WHAT THE FUCK DID HE JUST SAY?

Tebow:  Excuse me fellas, I'm going to go pray for our coach.

Tebow told reporters on a late night conference call he's excited to play for brash head coach Rex Ryan.

“I wanted to play for Coach Ryan ever since I saw ‘Hard Knocks,'" Tebow chuckled..."He just seemed like a coach who loves football and is passionate about the game of football. He’s definitely a players’ coach. I just love that about him.”

But how about Ryan's foul mouth?

"There’s not many NFL locker rooms you’re going to go where you have the cleanest language, so I’m not too worried about that.”

Getting offended by something you see on the internet is like choosing to step in dog shite instead of walking around it.

This royally sucks.

I really like Tebow.  Both as a player and as a person.  In Denver except for an odd game or two a year, I could root for him to be successful, as a Jet, I have to root against him every game.

The Tebow signing won't even be officially completed until Saturday afternoon, where's all the vitriol about the Jets GM missing out on the $5m pmt to the Broncos??  If Ireland did that you guys would be torching him, but not a word about.

That was my idea of a joke.  Here's another.

Tebow to Antonio Cromartie:  Hey Antonio, the Bible says to be fruitful and multiply but you gotta put the brakes on it and settle down with one woman.

1) Why would you think anyone here would care about the Jets' GM being an idiot?
2) The Jets' GM is also an idiot (for the Tebow trade period, but also for missing the $5m) .  Happy now?

So because the Jets GM is also an idiot I am supposed to feel better that Ireland is a fool?

Also, the Jets GM was probably FORCED to make this move by his owner and was probably trying to sabotage it himself with that "mistake". Woody Johnson FORCED Tannembaum to get Farve when nobody on the football side of operations wanted him. Many in NY think this is the same deal

They're worried about Tebow getting in trouble in the big apple?

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/jets-reportedly-want-tim-tebow-live-jersey-avoid-213915630.html'

Seriously?  He is the one guy on their roster they don't have to worry about.

Unless he gets in a fight with a priest over what scripture is going to be read at Sunday mass, I really don't think the Jets have to worry

Forget about Tebow mania for a second and just look at why they brought Tebow in and see if it makes sense. According to the Jets, they had a lot of 3 and out's last year, which is true, so they figure they can bring in Tebow to change things up a bit if they struggle and perhaps jump start the offense. Now for a reality check. Who was the WORST BY FAR QB in the league last year for 3 and out's? Tebow. So you're going to jump start your offense with him? I don't see it.

How many "BACK-UP QB's" get a press conference when they are traded....lol

Yeah, he is just a back-up! Woody wanted attention and a circus atmosphere, well he got it!

You forget who the OC of the Jets is now?  Yes, the same doofus who drafted Pat White in the 2nd round.  Look for a wildcat reincarnation with Tebow in 2012.

Its only a wildcat when a RB or WR is taking the snap. With Tebow back there its just playing your back-up QB and putting him in a shot-gun formation

That's the way I see it

Well it kinda morphed into that but originally the wildcat was defined by the unbalanced line where you take one tackle and put him on the same side as your other tackle and have a RB in motion to that side. That's where the wildcat started and where it had it's most success with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown being a dual threat.  I don't see that being used much and you're right that it's basically just become the QB running the ball which has never really worked that well. Pat White was horrible both running and passing.
