If he takes the job he will have been the head coach for the Giants, Patriots, Jets, Cowboys & Saints plus defacto coach for the Dolphins.  That has gotta be a record.

As per wiki:

For head coaches with at least 100 NFL games at the position, that is Jimmy Conzelman and former Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips who have been the head coach of 5 NFL teams each.

* - Jimmy Conzelman - was a player/coach with all teams except the Cardinals. He coached both the Rock Island Independents and Milwaukee Badgers in 1922. The Independents ended their season before the Badgers and after Rock Island's season was over he joined the Badgers.

1) 1921-1922: Rock Island Independents
2) 1922-1923: Milwaukee Badgers
3) 1925-1926: Detroit Panthers
4) 1927-1930: Providence Steam Roller
5) 1940-1942 and 1946-1948: Chicago Cardinals

* - Wade Phillips - was an interim head coach for the Saints and Falcons, coaching 4 games for the Saints and 3 for the Falcons. Interestingly, he took over the Saints when his father, Bum, was fired after the 12th game of the 1985 season.

1) 1985: New Orleans Saints
2) 1993-1994: Denver Broncos
3) 1998-2000: Buffalo Bills
4) 2003: Atlanta Falcons
5) 2007-2009: Dallas Cowboys
