http://blogs.trb.com/sports/custom/business/blog/2012/04/miami_dolphins_consider_alteri.html

Dolphins CEO Mike Dee said they won't do anything drastic with changes. And might end up making no changes at all. Said what you saw Tampa do a bunch of years back going from Orange to Pewter gray won't happen!

I wonder if they will be cheaper.  My guess is they will go up to $100 for replicas.
I guess that answers that.  Disgusting.

At $100, guess I won't be needing any new jersey's for a while.

I have come to terms with the idea that I don't really like jerseys anymore.  I always wore them just because that's what I did.  However, they never fit right unless you're a stocky dude.  I don't like the cut, and they are built for pads.  They just don't look right.

I've almost stopped wearing them entirely.

They wonder why China jerseys are so popular. Roll Eyes

I am with Dave.  As a guy who once collected jerseys to wear and currently own more than I can count, I think the sheer cost of them makes them un-affordable.  And, because I don't want to look like a d-bag, I refuse to wear them once the players leave the team.  That makes them only useful for 1-2 seasons, and I refuse to spend that much on such a useless item.  A shirt I can only wear 20 or 30 times that costs $100.  F that.

I've said it repeatedly, if you want a jersey it should be personalized.

I have always thought grown men and adults in jersey's looked foolish. The fact that they pay upwards of $100 to buy those things confirm they aren't that bright either!

Never been a jersey buying guy.

The all white at home look is as good as it gets in all of football IMHO.

See I love the all white uniforms. When I think of the Dolphins that is the look I think of. White on White really is the Dolphins tradmark colors. Dating back to the glory days from the 70's! I was never a fan of the "TEAL" pants and white jerseys.

Yeah, I'm with you, guys--I love the all whites!  I don't know what it is particularly about them, but they just look awesome to me, particularly when they get dirty throughout the game (though I like them pretty untarnished in appearance as well--so long as it's the offensive, i.e. skill players  Wink ).  I'd say I even like them better than the aqua/teal top w/ white pants, though we wear that particular combo a lot more rarely these days (preseason, night games, and the occasional road game, depending on what the home team is wearing).  I think I may have started appreciating the all whites more when Saban was here, even though they wore them almost all the damn time.  Ha ha.  That's the only good thing that SOB did for this franchise, having us wear the all whites on the road as well rather than the aqua/teal pants, if possible.

I guess it probably comes down to what MikeO said--to me, perhaps the all-white look is actually the "classic" Dolphins look to me, in my mind, even moreso than the aqua top.  That, and I just think it's sharp lookin' in that bright Miami sun!   Smiley

I disagree.  As a person who always covered games and could never actively root for my teams, I was always jealous of people who could really "get into it" at games.  Wear those jerseys, hats, shirts, what-have-you.  I think it's great.  Get as into the games as you want.  You only live once.

I believe buying players of "today" comes with a cautionary tale.  I have a Marshall jersey I can never wear again, same with Ricky Williams (although the Ricky Williams is a $40 junk jersey).  If I ever buy another "player" jersey again, it'll be a throw back.  Marino, maybe Offerdahl.

I recently purchased a personalized Boston Bruins jersey with my name on it.  I love it.  I don't wear it often, but it's great.  I suspect when I have a few extra bucks floating around I'll do the same for Miami and the Red Sox.

^^ I would LOVE an Offerdahl jersey.  I haven't been able to find one, and I've been looking.

I have a Marshall, Ricky, Bell, Madison, Mare, Zach, Welker, Ronnie...  The list is long.

I have mostly bought "blank" jerseys for both Panthers and Marlins, until now.  I got a Stanton Marlins jersey for Christmas and a Weiss Panthers jersey (from China).  But I also have a Jovanovski jersey and one with my name on it.  The Panthers have a "buy a blank jersey and we'll customize it while you wait" station in the stadium.

But I don't think I'll be buying any more Dolphins jerseys unless I get a deal.  Especially for that kind of money.

I agree with both Mike O & Maine, let me explain. Grown males watching games it is perfectly acceptable to wear their jerseys I feel. On a Wednesday evening while going through the grocery store, you can sport your gear but I feel the jersey is kind of cheesy then.

Modified to add my $.02 on Offerdahl. I was a big fan of his back in the day so when I got my personalized authentic (I got a great sale when the NFL switched jerseys so people might want to see if NFL.com might be offering good specials on the Reebocks) I chose his 56 in tribute and then put my name on the back.

Most of my Cubs jersey's have no name (I do have a Lee,Ramirez, and a Theriot, Mark Grace  throw back, but he is my favorite Cub) But I have a Red,Dark blue spring training,84 throwback, with no names....I think Baseball jersey's look fine without a name,Football without name or number don't look right....

I would like to get a personalized Dolphins jersey, but don't want to fork out the cash....

Embarrassed Jersies of players no longer with the team...Multiples - Chambers,Ronnie Brown,Thomas,Taylor,Clayton, and Marino Singles - Pritchett,Gadsden,Jabbar reversible,Marshall,Culpepper,Mcduffie Then I have a couple of baseball style jersey's...

I always wanted but don't own.... Keith Jackson,Byars...Non Dolphin Walter Payton,Muster, and a Rathman

Anymore I only wear them game day while watching the game,at a game...Baseball jerseys, occasionally non game days, being button down (except my throwbacks) I can wear them as a second shirt when cooler...
