If the Tonight show can survive without Johny and Ed.  NYE can survive w/o Dick Clark.

There are a few corporate tools that I like.  I think that general announcer for stuff like talent shows, parades, and holiday events is really, really, really tough.  If you can be even the least big genuine and not come off like a total douce, props to you.  Dick Clark was able to do that.  So is Seacrest.  The dude makes all of that corny banter as painless as possible.  Props to him.  I also like Tom Bergeron for this.  It's not even that he's funny; it's that he's able to maintain some sort of dignity in doing an awful job.  But the fact that he can go on a show like America's Home Videos and make it palatable, I'm impressed.
