This franchise has fallen so fast its scary! Drew Brees should sign his franchise tag tender and tell them he plays for them this year, then they pay him 120% next year (per rule) or he is walking. Either way Drew wins. Right now that franchise is such a mess they need HIM more than he needs THEM!

Apparently he can't be prosecuted for this as the statute of limitations has expired.  The NFL might choose to make an example of him though.

I thought the allegations were later than that. I caught bits and pieces on ESPN radio tonight, and thought they were talking about 2 years pre Katrina and years after. If the statute has run out, if I were Goodell, I would simply fire the GM. Most is not all of the players on the roster now were not on the roster then, if they are really only talking about 2003-2004.
