Home Run HITTER. Big play threat. SPEED!

Another athlete added on offense. Big-time athletic player. With Reggie Bush in the final year of his deal a nice 1-2 punch of Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller going forward AFTER this upcoming season would be nice.

Some mocks had Miller going to the Giants last pick in Rd 1. And most mocks had him in Rd 2. Mayock had a 2nd round grade on him. Getting him in Rd 4 is very nice!

Just watched a highlight reel on him. Seems small. Looks like a smart runner though. Rb, kr, both?

He's actually 215lbs... he doesn't always play like his size though!  He's a speed guy not really a guy that will lower the shoulder for those tuff inside yds.

I don't dislike this pick exactly, but it's far from a home run. How close is Miami to having more RBs than WRs at this point?

And Tubba- despite what's being reported here, one of the reasons he dropped so far is because he does NOT catch well. Questions about his hands and durability were his biggest weaknesses. -EK

I hope he can return some kicks.

Gotta think Ireland/Philbin are preparing for Bush to leave after this year.  This makes Slaton expendible and he may have not looked good in the first minicamp.  Plus, Bush does have an injury history and we may have just gotten lucky last year.

He reminds me a bit of Bradshaw.  Very good draft grade for a 4th rounder but not so much of a need filler.  I am a bit so-so on the pick.

I agree...  from this pick I'd say that either the Dolphins are planning on letting Reggie Bush go or moving him to WR?    I think more along letting him go next yr...

Rd 1 or 2 talent in Rd 4. Ireland couldn't pass that up. BPA (Best player Available). Reggie Bush will be gone after this year his contract is up. Have his replacement ready to go. Plus Bush is always injury prone and Thomas was injury prone last year, a 3rd running back (Sorry guys, Steve Slaton don't count) was a must

Also proving Philbin like some west coast offensive coaches believe....the system makes the WR's! And you don't need elite WR's in this type of offense

There gonna go get a WR, he's just gonna be a LOT later than you thought, but that's okay because Miller was taken a LOT later than was thought. Doesn't mean they can't play.

I agree. WR's have fallen and that is great for Miami. DEEP WR draft. Very deep

So they draft a RB whose two weaknesses are injury concerns and questions about his catching? Makes no sense. Drafting for speed alone hasn't worked out so well for Oakland. I get that this guy's fast. I also see that trying to replace injury-prone Bush and Thomas with an injury issue RB who doesn't block or catch may not be a great plan. -EK

Why do people keep saying he can't catch?

And he has never been seriously injured to my knowledge... he's gotten dinged but returned to the game each time.

I was kinda being a wise ass because of Miami not taking a WR yet Wink haha

I like the pick, he probably won't see the field a lot this year, if at all, but it gives Miami insurance towards Bush's contract year and/or Thomas not producing.

Not exactly the best pick out there, and I see that they traded up to get him.

Meanwhile they have still not addressed the receiver position
